To anyone that has been having problems with this tutorial, i found that the recommended video was very helpful, follow the instructions to the T. I used this tutorial on the latest firmware as of today(i did online update), and worked perfectly.

Wow... finally its working through the backup launcher. Thanks Dogeggs.
Also, When installing the ISO through the USB Loader. Can I insert any regular game cd (say wii sport) and would the loader automatically install the game from the USB (e.g. EA Active?).

A few questions before I begin.
I have read this thread from beginning to end and I'm pretty sure I can hack my Wii without problems, but I just want to clear a couple things up first.
1. I have an virgin LU65 3.4u Wii. Do I need to update to 4.0u before starting anything? If so do I just do a System Update?
2. I have read in the past that downgrading should be avoided on LU64/LU65 Wii's. Is this no longer the case? It's my understanding that the Trucha Bug Restorer is only downgrading the IOS's and not the System Menu. Is that correct?
3. Is the HBC installer this guide links to using the Bannerbomb exploit?
Sorry, I just want to be sure it's safe to follow this guide. Thanks in advance for your replies.

Thank you VERY VERY much for this tutorial. It got my WADs up and running.
I have two questions though:
The first time I went to play the first WAD I installed, I click the channel then accidentaly clicked the 'next channel' button. By doing so, I saw the disc channel for about 1 second before seeing a message saying "System Files Corrupted". I restarted the Wii and went to see if it would happen twice in a row, but everything seems fine now. Do you have any ideas why that happened?
Also, Is it okay for me to delete the WADs from my ROOT now?

Brilliant guide asalways dogeggs...thanks very much for all you hard work!!...just wondering, after following all the steps can i then use firmware backdater 1.1 to get the machine back to 3.2 or is it just easier to leave it on 4.1, also if i stay on 4.1 will it play Ghostbusters, Indianna Jones etc.....thanks in advance!!!

@gravy - no idea what you did m8! lets hope it doesnt come back, and you can delete the wads if you like now
@topbuzz - you may as well stay on 4.1 m8
