Yup. That's the one I've been using. Just sits at "Installing..." when I try to install the patched IOS36.

    Shoot me.

If that was the guide you are following why are you posting in this one? Any how did the downgrading of ios15 go without hitches?

This guide is for Wiis using system menu 3.0 to 4.1. Is there something different about your Wii that needs to be addressed?

Did you previously have cIOSCORP or DARKCorp installed on that Wii? If not, what was the original system menu version? If 3.2 or earlier, you can skip the Trucha Bug restore step and o straight to installing the new cIOS into that IOS249 slot you just cleared. If you updated to 4.2, the problem may be the stub that replaced your IOSes there-follow either of the 4.2 softmod guides if that is the case.

@idi-because it's a black Wii, we can rule out an earlier system menu. Yes, you can run a program called syscheck, a homebrew application on your Wii and post the results. However, one answer might just do the trick here. Were you able to play backup discs of of your games directly from the Disk Channel or did you have to use a loader such as NeoGamma. If you could play backup game discs directly from the Disk Channel, your Wii was cIOSCORPed and the normal softmods are not to be followed with that installed and all your IOSes replaced like that.
