Easily create your own Channels with Wadder
This tutorial is a little out of date since CustomizeMii was released, please use the CustomizeMii tutorial instead:

Making your own channels has never been easier thanks to icefires wadder app, but due to the lack of a guide or help file it can be confusing for new users so i've put this tutorial together to show just how easy it really is :)
You can't get banner bricked by a wad made with wadder but don't try this unless you have preloader/bootmii installed just in case.
This tutorial only shows you how to make static image channels, animated channels are a lot more complicated so will not be included here.
What you will need:
Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5
Microsoft Forms 2.0 (installed with office)
Wadder 2.73
The .dol of the app you want to make a channel for.
A Wad to use as a base, the supplied 'QUIT' wad can be used as a base for any channel.
A sound effect to be played when channel is started.
Graphics for the channel in the form of a:
590x332 banner - this is the screen that is displayed when you click the channel.
128x96 icon.
112x32 logo - icon/logo are the graphics displayed on the channel, one after the other.
PNG is best format for the graphics.
Wads created in Wadder are not made from scratch and always need a base wad. The principle is simple, you take a base wad and then wadder allows you to change the graphics, sound and the .dol, so you can either edit a wad by just changing the graphics, update by just changing the .dol or create a new one by changing everything.
In this tutorial we will be making an autoboot Neogamma using the 'Quit' channel as a base.
Download Files
1: Put all the files you need in one folder and put that folder onto your desktop, the folder should contain:
banner.png
icon.png
logo.png
neogamma_auto.dol
QUIT.wad
sound.mp3
2: Run Wadder, press the browse button and select your base wad (QUIT.wad) and make sure 'both' is checked on the banner/icon change dialog.

3: Click on the 'Title' tab and give your Wad a name.

4: Click on 'Options' tab, browse to the .dol you want to add (neogamma_auto) and browse to the new sound (sound.mp3), if you want to play a little tune then it is best to make a short audio clip (10secs) and loop it, but for the sake of this tutorial we are just going to add a sound that will play once, so leave the loop box unchecked. Now is the time to add a 4 letter title id too, it has to be unique as this is how your wii identifies the channel and will overwrite one of the same name.
If you were just changing the graphics of your wad then you could leave all these options blank.

note: The Wad exchange tab allows you to use graphics/sound from existing wads and won't be used for this tutorial.
5: Click 'Create Wad' and a box with your graphics will pop up after a couple of seconds, highlight 'MenuScreen1.tpl' by clicking on it, then click 'replace' and select your new banner (banner.png), click 'preview to make sure it's the right one.

6: Click the 'Icon' tab, highlight 'IconImage.tpl' then click replace and select your icon.png, do the same for 'LogoChan.tpl' and replace with your logo.png, click preview to make sure you got it right.

7: Click 'Continue' then 'save' in the next box and your wad will be created!
Now that you have the basics down, go create your own banners/icons in photoshop and experiment :)
