Well I guess I'm screwed. My Wii is out of warratny so I guess I'm hosed.

I followed these steps to a T!! I have a 1st gen Wii that has had all updates. I followed these steps to "Stay on 4" and it bricked me.

    My Wii is now bricked.

Does anyone know how to fix this? I cannot afford to spend anymoeny, hence the reason I tried this in the first place. Willign to try whatever if someoen could give me some ideas.

Well, I did this is this order...

    5) Run Wad Manager 1.4, and install IOS60patched.wad and NeoGammaR4-Anim-FL.wad.

6). Open the Homebrew Channel and load Preloader, press 1 to install. After install, your Wii should reboot and load the Preloader menu. If it doesn't, turn your wii off and on again whilst holding down reset and it will load the Preloader menu.

    7) Select 'system hacks' in the Preloader menu, and enable the hacks in the list that you want, make sure you have selected the region free wii games/channels and to block disc updates. Select 'save settings' and wait for confirmation message to display 'settings saved'. Press B to go back, and enter Settings. Set 'Autoboot: System Menu' with D-Pad, then save settings. Press B to return to main Preloader menu.

    8) Open Homebrew Channel and run the cIOS38r13 installer, select 'wad install'.

    9) (Optional) Run Homebrew Browser and see if there's anything you would like to download.

    10) All Done! You should now have a backup loader channel and preloader.

After I exited out of the Homebrew Browser, the Wii restarted. Now all I get is the black screen with "System files are corrupted". I can boot into the preloader which I think is what it causign the problem. If I could just install a systemmenu.wad or uninstall the pre-loader to get my system menu back, I might be alright. I can still run the homebrew and all the stuff that it does works, jsut can't get back to the systemmenu.

I downloaded and installed Restoremii4.0U.wad.wad and it cleared it right up. So I'm gonna patch the iCOS one more time thistime now that I know what is going on and see where I can get. I don't know that I have system 4 though. At oen poitn I saw System V385 but that was i nthe preloader so who knows. Either way, I need to get this up and running now so I will be messign with it and crossing fingers.

Alright. All of the installed apps and software continued to hang aroudn after the rescuemii install so that helped alot. I just ran the Go to HB channel and run cIOS38_rev13b-Installer, use network install. And everything works wonderfully.

I followed the directions and I was able successfully install NeoGamma. However, when I put in the backup disc for Ghostbusters I still get a green screen. Any idea what am I doing wrong? Do I have to change settings in the menu?
