Edit: flipped HBC can be resolved by a reinstall of HBC, it'll right itself (or if it's prompting for an update and you haven't yet, do so).

Yes, you do have to turn off the Wii, remove the SD card, put it in your PC, add files, etc... and then put it back into your Wii...

As for IOS60, you should do that before you do anything else. Go to WAD manager and simply load IOS60 patched.
Alright, I just followed what you guys did and got FW4.0 on....to move on to FW4.1, I just load it up from the HBC, right?

Thanks for the quick responses, btw!

What I'm getting at is you made some initial changes, beginnings of a modification with (I think you meant) Hombreware. I'm at best vaguely familiar... you might need to "undo changes" made to actually be able to carry out this mod. Usually if a person gives up on one and starts another, the expectations of the new mod may not be met due to the changes/modifications you made with a previous mod. If you get the files, it might be a good idea to post exactly what you've done on a previous mod as much as you can to see if things can be righted one way or another...

Oh yeah wasn't gonna start this thread till I got the files I needed and undo the other attempt. Have you tried the Homebreware method or know anyone who has? Would like to know why it's not working. I have Homebrew channel and the BackUp channel, I have a copy of Twilight Princess burnt but it doesn't play when I start the backup channel with the disk in. Thought maybe I used wrong type disk or burnt it wrongor something else. Would be nice not to have to redo all of it again. I burned it on a Memorex drd+r using ImgBurn at 2x.

    thx for the help
The MicroSD = reason. FAT32 is usually the case, tho cases of FAT have worked (the alternate tool on page one is only FAT-capable). You need a different card... if you check the Error Index you'll see that's a USB-compatibility related error.

As stated in the link and quick reply, IOS 60 patched first. That means HBC and select wad manager, should default to IOS249 when loaded. Load that 60 and install. Then exit. Go back into HBC and run the 4.0 update; once it takes verify it's 4.0 (probably reboots after the download/install); then back into HBC next time and select the 4.1 version as outlined in the linked response.

NP on quick reply, glad to help.

OK, good to know re: undoing first. I selectively edited out certain things above (no, I'm not familiar with Hombreware). The error you gave relates in equivalency of an improperly completed Step 3 in this guide. The use of Memorex media does not help your case (they're junk media, 3rd tier at best) but is not responsible for the error given.

Sweet...I think I got it all done well enough; many thanks once again for your help!!

One last question - now that I've finished up everything on the guide, can I delete all the files that I put onto my SD card from this tutorial?

Well, it does say you can in the Tutorial... probably missed that. It's good to keep wad manager and the /wads dir (you can empty the folder) as they're common things you may wish to keep handy. Keep the SD card in the Wii and your HBC won't be empty with just bubbles, either.

Ok so from what I read I need to burn my games on Verbatim dvd-r. Can they be the dvd-rw and what program is best to burn with? I just got the files, had to get them from another site but it's the same files. So I'm gonna try to virginize it then try this thread. I do not have internet connection on my wii, this won't be a problem will it? And I noticed that the virginizer will actually upgrade my wii to 4.1 do I really want to upgrade?
