Hello I'm back again.
I just installed preloader.Everything went fine but when i exit a game, seems that Wii reboots and doesn't directly return to System Menu.
I found a post a lot pages earlier mentioning that this is normal but this was about two months ago.
Isn't there anyway to fix this?
Furthermore i see that the installed version is 0.15. I found out that the latest version of preloader is 0.30.Should i perform an upgrade?

Can I ask, I noticed that many threads require the install of IOS56 to play virtual console games. This thread has only IOS38,IOS50,IOS53,IOS55 installed. My question is, is it safe to install IOS56 and why wasnt it included in this tutorial?

It is safe to install IOS56, you just install it with Wad Manager

It is mainly used for Guitar Hero 5 and The Beatles.
It wasn't included with the main tutorial (although it is in the Optional section), because only the most common files the Wii needs to play most games are required, should any one need any extra IOS for problematic games / Hardware etc, they can install them as and when they are needed.

and thanks to guys who contributed to the Guide... It's excellent stuff!!!
When I reran the 4.1 update, it noticed that it downloads and then installs... I should have realized that.. I thought it installs as it downloads...
Anyways, i redid all steps from 4 to 5 and now it's all ok...
Just have to test the HD now..
Thanks for your valuable assistance...

d) In the Priiloader menu select Homebrew Channel (if you didn't install Priiloader then just open HBC as normal), run Wad Manager 1.4, use default settings (IOS249 & SD card) and install these wads from the 'wad' folder:
Do I do this step when I go to install IOS56? Specifically using the default setting (IOS249 & SD card) ?

Thanks for the great guide. I managed to get everything installed but I am getting Error 1053 through NeoGamma.
I have confirmed that this Wii has a GC2-D2C so that can't be the problem.
One thing I did different was that I installed Ios60 patched, then went to update firmware 4.1... after this started I realized it was going to need an internet connection so I just exited the firmware updater and continued on with the guide... would that have screwed something up?
Can I just start over or is there someway I need to remove what I have done first?
Also the discs I'm using work fine in a hardmodded Wii.... Verbatim DVD-R's burned at 4x with Imgburn

I have a wii 3.1U. I followed the guide up to step 4. For step 4, it says that I have to install IOS60-patched before running the update. When I try to install the IOS60 it says there is an error reading the file. I also tried reformatting the SD card. Thanks for the help.
