can't connected to network sorry =(

Not sure why but I tried to redo the process again but this time it gets stuck at Initializing network....
Seeing how I didn't do a backup I'm a bit afraid to turn the wii off :P

Edit:I'm running V4.1E, had to shut down the wii and it still works fine.
Are you sure your internet is set to ON and configured correctly? What version System Menu was your Wii already on? You didn't install anything like cIOSCorp did you? Just checking some obvious things first...

Edit: you went back and put in 4.1E, ok; the rest?

I'm new to modding the wii, I've done soft/chip mods on xbox before so I can some experience.

My question is, with a soft mod can you put back-up on an external HD? Or do they have to be 'hard disc' back ups?

I'm not sure I understand the question. This mod will let you play burned disc backups on your Wii. You can also copy said DVDs to an external HD if that's what you're asking --- see this thread.

Thank you. So, your Wii is neither bricked nor even semi-bricked; that's good. What you have is probably in that really tough Step 3. Let's clear the the card up because you installed some things from other sources too. Please backup your SD card to your PC HDD-so you don't lose anything you really want.

Reformat your SD card again as FAT32 on your PC. Redownload the softmod pack, extract with WinRar and copy the folder contents to the SD card-just like before.

Skip Steps 1 and 2-looks like you did those okay, I hope. Go to HBC and select the Trucha Bug Restorer app. TBR does not load up-post back. Otherwise ->Re-do Step 3-read the steps closely, watche the video. Watch the screen for any error messages, be careful with your Wiimote button presses.

Sounded like you thought you had completed the tutorial, so now test to see if Step 3 was successful this time. Try and load NeoGamma-no game disc-just the app. Again-does it load-is there a line on the screen that reads IOS249rev14? If so, you are good. If not, post back again.

My system is 4.1e and I have finished this softmod. All works fine until I wanted to boot backup games(2), but no working (error 1035); after that I tried to see the HBC for WAD Manager, but inside the HBC is nothing! Does anywone have the same problems and how I fixed them? Thanks!

It was nothing you could control-it was probably network traffic, cold weather on the transmission lines. Glad you got it done-the online update is the preferred, that's why all guides use it first and only go offline when necessary.

Put the SD card back in the SD card slot. You should see your Homebrew apps again. You do not need the Private folder or the boot.elf on the SD-that will put your Wii into the bootmii menu each time-so remove those.

If your NeoGamma continues not to boot, re-do Step 3 and try again.
