To play through the Wii disc channel, look for and install cMIOS. To use a loader MIOS Patcher and GC Backup Loader are used.

Ok, I'm on Part 3b - "Run Trucha Bug Restorer again, this time select to load IOS15 on first screen using dpad left/right, then select the IOS36 menu & install patched (select 'yes' on all 3 patches) IOS36 to slot 36, again using IOS from SD card."

I did all of it correctly (watching the video/reading at the same time). When I start the install, I get "ES_AddTitleStart returned: -2011"
You need to use an IOS with trucha bug.
that's what the IOS15 downgrade is for
    IOS36 installation failrd.
    Press any button to exit.

I'm not sure what I should do at this point. Can ya help me?

Edit: I assume I should try downgrading again but I wanna make sure. I didn't get any prior errors so I assumed it downgraded fine. I don't need to reboot or anything do I?

Ok I ran it again and it worked - and am on the way to the next part!

Hi everyone! Im a noob and new regarding wii softmodding. I managed to install neogamma and it worked for some games, but wanted to format the wii and start over with a "virgin" wii. the problem now is that I cant load the homebrew innstaller pack from bootmii (or everywhere else, tried different packages) Tried serveral times, but it freeze at black screen when i press Yes to load the dol/elf file from my SD card. Sometimes it freeze when the text "do not try to sell thi..." pops up. Can anyone please help me to instal homebrew channel? The reason i formated the wii was because i got this message "no vulnerable ios where found.." i now.. Im a noob! help??

    version 4.1E (europe)

serial nr starts with LEH 280

    Unhappy Priiloader problem

    I have n00b issues.
I have a UL65 wii that I just purchased monday.
Was able to install homebrew channel and also Bootmii.
However, Bootmii was installed as IOS and not boot2.
After Bootmii installation I proceeded with NAND backup.
Then proceeded with step 3 with the trucha bug.
Step 4 and beyond are really confusing and I don't know if I got everything right.
I proceeded with WAD manager and installed the four IOS it instructs and NeoGamma.
    Then I installed IOS60-pached.wad.
After that I continued with the firmware update.
Everything went great to this point.
    The menu version said 4.1U.
Then I proceded to installing Priiloader.
Here is were I started to encounter issues.
First it gave me a dump message.
I then rebooted the wii and tried to install Priiloader again.
    This time it worked.
Then I continue to the system hacks.
The problem I'm having is that when I select system menu it keeps going to Priiloader. I don't know what to do from here.
    Can anybody help me.

Hello, thank you for the detail post. I feel really silly however after following every steps of your instruction, I am having the same problem as eealonso. Every time I restart the wii it jumps to the priloader screen. Even when I select Boot Mii (IOS), I am still not able to load the regular Wii menu. Is there something I am missing? Please help!

    Thank you again!

Fortunately the clue to your problem came in the last pasty of your post. First, formatting your Wii's system memory does not wipe the NAND. So. you deleted HBC but can't reinstall because it sees the fake signed IOS36 from your softmod.

Format an SD card to FAT32. Download, extract using WinRar where needed, and copy the following to your SD card: bannerbomb , IOS36-64-v1042.rar , WAD-Manager_v1.4.rar .

Rename the Wad Manager.dol file to boot.elf and place this new boot.elf in the root ddirectory of the SD card. We are using Bannerbomb to boot up Wad Manager. Place the SD card in the Wii and say yes to boot.elf. Use Wad Mgr to install the clean IOS36 wad file. If you are successful, you can wipe the SD card or use another for the softmod tutorial again. Now you should be able to run Step 1.

You probably have to reinstall system menu 4.1 and then priiloader again. You didn't do anything wrong, the new priiloader seems to have some issues occasionally getting along with system menu.

Download system menu 4.1 from here:SystemMenu-NTSCU-v449.rar . Use WinRar to extract the file. Copy the sysmenuNTSCU449 wad file to your SD card. Use Wad Manager and install. Now reinstall priiloader; should be OK this time. Reset your hacks and priiloader menu options.
