FABULOUS!!! Just a couple points I want to address:

    I had two problems.
    1) I had an upside down HBC after step 3. You might want to add to the guide how to fix that and, more importantly, not to fix it until your are finished with step 5. To fix it I reloaded a clean IOS36 from WAD Manager.

    2) I could not get Priiloader to load to the home screen in the Wii, meaning, I couldn't get to where the channels were. Priiloader kept going to its boot menu and only allowed me to go to HBC. To fix it I downloaded NUS Downloader and created a clean v4.1U WAD and loaded it from WAD Manager. Then I reinstalled Priiloader. Maybe a link to NUSD in the guide would be good.

    Kudos on the great FAQ.

Hi, I had a concern as I read through the tutorial. I have version 3.4u, so I have to update my Wii in step 4. But I'm not sure if this automatically update my Wii to 4.2 and mess it up... Thanks.

In Step 4, if you use FW4.1 updater and keep WiiConnect24 OFF, your Wii will be updated to system menu version 4.1. Internet ON; WiiConnect24 OFF.

Install IOS60 patched first, then run FW4,1 installer, then go to Step 5B.

Congratulations on successfully softmodding your Wii. Also kudos for solving your own problems. There are actually several possibilities to address the HBC flipped screen and they depend on other circumstances. In otherwords, sometimes the clean IOS reinstall is not always IOS36 and much of the time an IOS reinstall is not needed.

We have the 4.1 menu wad files here, but again-it's great to hear you downloaded it using NUS downloader yourself. Enjoy your newly softmodded Wii.

Hello, please read the tutorial carefully. It also helps to read it through a few times before starting. Read all of the tutorial text, not just the Steps; all of it. Good luck on your softmod.

"Bootmii not found,to dangerous to continue,If your SD is corrupt or the restore is interrupted you will be unable to boot to fix it.if you are sure you want to do this then press A+b+X+Y.otherwise press any key to exit"

How can i restore the wii to do again the procedure??

    Unhappy Mixed up some steps

It seems like did step 3D (cIOS38 r14 installer) before 2A Backing up the NAND,
and the homebrew screen menu had been upside down since after 3B

The games play fine so far, only the homebrew screen is upside down and I can not update my firmware (I have 3.4) I get on instyalling title: "error! (ret=-1036)" and I have over 2000 free blocks

any ideas about the upside down screen and the failed firmware upgrade.

PS I did manage to back up my nand, after the CIOS38 r14 installer that is.

It seems that I cant install wads from the wad manager. I folowed all the steps and thenI go to the wad manager I intsall the wads that I should everything seems ok but after the restart NeoGamma is nowhere to be found. Any sugestions?

    gen3sf thanks for your answer.
I dont think that the NeoGamma is the problem (I suspect the wad installer) but I ll try it.
In homebrew chanel in the upper left screen that goes back to wii chanels is:
    1.0.5 IOS35 v4.16
Shouldent it be IOS36 as I choose in step3d?
