    disc error 324

    Hi all
I downgraded to 3.2, then installed ios249, I got the last one installed too
    ios38-rev 14.. I use backup loader 1.3
I was playing a "backup" copy of sports active, and then switched to jillian mitchell's game. When I tried to launch the game i got disc erro 324. I thought it was a bad burn (i burned it at 3x in an imation -r), but the other backups weren't working.

Then I tried to play original games and I get the sames error: cannot read disc!!!
what can I do? My wii ins't reading any disc at all!

A Little bit of Help please *** Now Sorted***

    Hi all,

I have gone through the forums trying to find my own answer but there isnt any thing specific to my needs... so i hope someone can help...

I already have HBC beta 9 IOS36 via Zelda a few months back...

    My Wii is Ver 3.1E

I have tried updating using Brickblocker along with softmod for dummies Ver4.1
I format my sd card using the batch file, select O for old (ver below 4)

when I insert SD card Instead of starting at Step 8 install wad, it starts at step 7.

Is it doing this because I have HBC installed already???

Any help would be much appreciated.

    Thanks

ps: I hope I have posted this in the right place!

Quick update... I have managed to sort this myself. Thanks

First of all thanks for a great guide, worked like a treat right up until preloader and editing the hacks.ini for me.

I'm a PAL 4.1E software and when I try and edit the system hacks it comes up with the can not find hacks.ini FAT or NAND error.

I've tried multiple hacks.ini (6-7 different ones) and don't know what else to do. Can I use something else like startpatch for 4.1 or anything else just to make sure a game won't update from a different region and to let me play any region on it.

Also, do you turn on wiiconnect afterwards?

Thanks for everything with the guide it was very easy so far! <---- Original Question.

I had the same problem, same 4.0e etc, wouldn't boot up etc, any all i did was update the firmware ( which isn't in the guide ) and that solved my problem nicely,

My Wii is on 4.1U, I want to make a Nand Backup using bootmii. Can I install bootmii as boot2, as I don't have Gamecube controller.

Or, is the current version of bootmii able to navigate the menu without Gamecube controller although I've installed Bootmii as an IOS?

One more question, what will happen if I install IOS60patched.wad after I install Preloader?

    Thanks.

if your wii is less than a year old then you prob can't install as boot2 and if you install ios60 after preloader you will get a semi brick that is easily fixed by reinstalling preloader.

    I was wondering ..

I bought my Wii in china, where they use PAL except in Taiwan and also have the same electricity plug as in Europe (not like US), but the system version is 3.2u...
I use pal games all the time and have no problems .. what exactly makes that possible ?
I read that using the wrong games can semi brick the system ..
So now I'm wondering about this ofcourse...

I've never been asked to update when starting a game disc,
is that because of the use of a loader or because I have all the latest files ?

Is it better to change the Wii to EU version ? (I'v read that's possible)

    Thnx

    Wii dies

Thanks for the guide, worked like a champ.

The only problem I am having now is after about 30 - 45 minutes of play from a backup DVD my system shuts off. I have to unplug it to get it to work again... Any ideas?

    Thanks!
