    Dogeggs, I've used this on about ten different wii's. If you're ever in the U.S. I'll buy you a beer sometime. Keep up the good work.

    I have a Wii sitting at 3.4U and I am at the step that says I need to update to 4.1. The update utility included in the tutorial seems to download all the components but as soon as it begins to install the 4.1 menu system I get an error, 1036. I have not yet installed anything beyond that point and everything previous seemed to install without issue.
    I've tried several times to complete that step but have been able to, always stopping at the same error.

    Any help would be GREATLY appreciated!

    Did you forget to install IOS60patched? The 1036 error pops up for that oversight.

    If your Wii is an original 3.1U, it already has the Trucha Bug vulnerability. Skip to Step 3D and just run the cIOS38rev14 installer.

    BootMii Menu Always the First Screen

    Hello Everyone,

    I'd like to thank Dogeggs for such an informative post.

    I'm having a problem with getting my wii to autoboot to the system menu and/or the HBC. Every time I power cycle or reset I'm presented with the Bootmii screen at which time I have to get the Gamecube controller and select how I want the system to boot. I'm assuming I missed a step somewhere but after reading the instruction several times I can't find what I obviously overlooked. I've made certain that I have my boot option set to systemmenu in the preloader but that doesn't seem to have any bearing on how my wii boots. If anyone has any suggestion please share. Thanks in advance for any assistance given.

    I'm running the following app versions:
    Preloader = v0.29
    IOS = 60
    systemmenu = 449
    installer = 34
    HBC = 61
    DVDX = 35

    Hi ... you need to edit your bootmii.ini file, it looks like the following,

    # BootMii config file

    # Video mode, possible settings:
    # NTSC, PAL50, PAL60, PROGRESSIVE
    VIDEO=PAL50

    # Autoboot, possible settings:
    # SYSMENU, HBC
    #AUTOBOOT=SYSMENU

    # Autoboot delay, in seconds:
    # Default is 5
    #BOOTDELAY=5
    Just removed "#" sign in front of "AUTOBOOT=SYSMENU" & "BOOTDELAY=5" then save the file.
