    Question

Will the guide work if I don't want the Wii to be connected to the internet ?

    Edit:
I tried it without an internet connection.
    I got to part 2.b
"Use the power/reset/eject buttons to navigate the Bootmii menu and select the icon with the gears on it. If those buttons don't work then you will have to use a Gamecube controller."

Want to you do if the "power/reset/eject buttons" buttons don't work and you don't have a "Gamecube controller" ?

Will it work on a 2.0U? Mine keeps freezing when I try to access the SD Card on the first step.

Unfortunately it won't work on any System Meny under 3.X, you need to update, most games now have updates 3.1 - 3.4

    Wink Thanks

Just wanted to say thanks so much Dogegg. ran through your tutorial last night (V 4.0) installed fine first time. using maxell dvd-r discs for backups no problem. only issue was when i updated HBC after all completed. It locked out my wiimotes and they wouldn't sync. Got back in via preloader, reinstall HBC from your post and bish bosh all sorted again. Also updated the store from your post and that's all good too.
Thanks ever so ever so much

Just Skip Step 2, you can choose to make a backup NAND at another time when you can buy or borrow a gamecube controller. The NAND backup is less useful for those Wiis that can only install bootmii as IOS.

You will need to turn on your Wii's Internet connection for Step 4, though; keep WiiConnect24 off so that you do not accidently update to sysmenu 4.2. Step 4: Internet ON; WiiConnect24 OFF. Then install IOS60patched using Wad Manager; after IOS60patched is installed you now go to HBC and run FW 4.1 Updater.

After 4.1 Updater is completed, you may turn the Internet off again, if you wish and resume the tutorial at Step 5B.

Looks like you skipped the obligatory update to sysmenu 4.1-or it did not install for you because you are trying to run preloader on a 3.4 Wii.

Make sure Internet access for your Wii is ON and WiiConnect24 is OFF or you will be uupdated to 4.2. Do Step 4: Internet ON; WiiConnect24 OFF-->Access HBC, go to Wad Manager and install IOS60patched. Now run FW 4.1 updater from HBC.

You will now reinstall preloader by following Step 5B. Complete the Steps 5B-D
