I'd Recommend to stay away from 4.2. Stay on 3.2 and do this one

Do NOT PM for Site or Wii Issues
All the app and wad files needed in Steps 1-5 are included in the softmodpack you downloaded. Bootmii will start up when you follow the directions of Step 1.

How many people here have a wii LU39 model number and have a hacked wii?

I´ve done this wonderful softmode today.
I solved the problem of the black screen when entering the shop channel and photo channel. I used WiiSCU and just upgraded the IOS61, like ShadowSonic2 told me.
But I have another problem guys. When I am in a channel or a game, and I want to exit to the Wii Menu again to play another thing, the system restarts (or reset) showing the initial black screen of warning before enter Wii menu.
How can I solve this problem?

I ruin 1 console of my friend first time because I just did not read the warning to skip the preloader installation for 3.3 or 3.4.
Now I have got a nw one with 3.3e. So the last one succeed thanks to the complete explanations/video.
I hope everyone just keep reading carefully, before do something.
ps. I use dance mat for the gc compatible controller.

I have a 4.1U softmodded wii and I was just wondering if I could update to 4.2 without risks. I've decided hacking just isn't for me and would like a clean slate on my Wii so I don't have to worry about hacking.
