Thank you Gen for your awesome feedback. I'm definitely interested in all this, since it fascinates me to no end, but I'm going to do some serious background research into it first. The guide above, as well as that FAQ guide you gave me the link to, seem like two essential pieces of literature to read.

By the way, do you have a link to a guide that describes how to actually play Wii ISOs off the Wii? I've gotten all the SNES, NES, and Genesis emulators and ROMs (which is AMAZINGGGG by the way). Now I'd like to see if I can play some Wii titles via torrents or whatever.

I intend on doing this via a USB flash drive or USB hard drive (not sure which one I want to use). I prefer not to use a DVD-R disc to play the ISOs, but if worse comes to worst, I'll do that. Whichever method is easier

after doing this, all of it, install also USBloader GX, load the iso through WBFS manager on a hard drive, launch with USbloader. or burn iso with imgburn at 4x on Verbatim dvd-r, play through nogamma

Oh by the way one more question, do i need to install bannerbomb before I begin the upgrade? Intruction state's Before you start make sure Wiiconnect 24 is off as it can stop bannerbomb working, you may turn it back on once you have completed the guideThanks for your quick reply on my previous query.

The Bannerbomb exploit is included in the softmodpack download and will activated when you follow the tutorial steps.

Follow the tutorial until you reach Step 4. When you reach Step 4, give us a post stating that your Wii does not have Internet access and identify which sysmenu version you require. Example 4.1U, 4.1E. etc. and the link to the appropriate wad can then be supplied for you.

Your post doesn't ring any bells. I see this is your first post-have we chatted? To what screen are you referring?

Thank you for your PM. I see you can't get beyond the scam msg of the hackmii pkg. 1)download the most recent softmodpack from either the DOWNLOAD or MIRROR links at top of page. The Hackmii.3 is more forgiving of SD cards. 2)if you are using a SDHC card-try to use a 2GB SanDisk Formatted on your PC as FAT32. I think the app is getting a bit hungup on the SD card.3) have nothing on that SD card except the softmodpack files.

Hi, i have done all of the steps except 5b & 5c. I really do not know what is a preloader for. If i install it, does it means that whenever i start the Wii, it will go to the Preloader screen - instead of the usual Wii System Menu (with many channels)?

Also, when i load a copied game and tried to open NeoGamma, it went into a black screen. Why so? I have completed everything here (except step 5b & 5c). Please advice.
