nah,leave it be, won't hurt... make sure you keep your nand backup safe on a cd maybe... it will save your wii in case of a brick

Sweet! Thanks for the quick reply's and the help. Just one more question I hope the last.
It says the preloader is optional. Should it be done and the wii updated since I am going to run the usb loader on the wii, or do some games need the update to run.
OK 2 questions. Once i install the USB loader what program can i use to copy the games i have to the hard drive either through the Wii or the PC or both. I read it some where and cant seem to find it at this moment it time.
I hope im not to confusing.

do the update and preloader, just to be sure. some games need it, also it will help you not worry about updates
for burning, use imgburn, for HDD games use WBFS manager

OK so ive been trying to back up the NAND and it has stalled halfway through. Any ideas. its been running for a while now.

you need 512mb and more to be free.. do you? also it takes some time

Its a sandisk 2 gig micro sd with an adapter.(its supposed to be in my phone)
The back up finished.I copied the file to my pc. It comes up as a WinRar archive. Is this correct?
Actually a .BIN file extension

ok so i got to the preloader install and there was no hacks to there it said something like no files were found. i rebooted and i got the system corrupted.
so now what.
