    1) question, if i install the HBC, what is the % for having a bricked wii
    2) after HBC, what is the % for bricking if i install the ocarina after

i know what you said, for my options that i have said above, do i need to do the bootmii and have a NAND backup, is it really necessary?

    thanks a whole lot gen2sf
If you do install HBC then you might as well play back up games as your warrity will be void anyway...you probably wont brick by just installing HBC but in future you might put a wrong game in and BANG...your bricked and have no warrinty

    Hi botchie,
If that ever happens to you-keep in mind that anything short of a complete brick, maybe even just the DVD drive is acting up, one can potentially "virginize" the modded Wii. There is a thread on that in another sub-forum-basically trying to remove traces of the modifications made to the Wii before sending it back to Nintendo within the warranty period. The NAND backup and preloader offers some protection from catastrophe and also some hope that access to the Wii will be maintained so that the mods could be removed.

Another protective option is to purchase an extended warranty from the place of purchase-these are usually a no-fault replacement policy. While the aforementioned policies are usually nothing more than retail money-generating schemes, in the case of Wii mods, it can save you the cost of the Wii and/or the hefty repair costs enforced by Nintendo.

And that's why we advise people to install preloader... 95% of the brick cases can be reversed with preloader... unless you do something really retarded, you can unbrick in no time

I followed he steps exactly. After I restarted and went into the system menu, it still shows my Wii has 3.2U instead of 4.1U

Installing preloader depends on your system - what FW are you on? Remember that there are no preloader hacks for 3.3, 3.4, or japanese sys.

If you are on 4.0 or 4.1 you need to use Wad Manager to install ios60patched BEFORE you install preloader.

Just checking, why do you want to upgrade to 4.1 from 3.2. I think 3.2s are great.

However, if you want...you probably had a problem with installing IOS60patched. Reinstall IOS60patched and try again. Oh and make sure you have 250 blocks or more free.
