If you have those, you can pay someone to flash your NAND and fix your Wii. Otherwise you are out of luck.
Its not possible to repair with the GC controller method, infectus or other thing like that?

Post about this in the Bricked Wii's section. I know more about softmodding than fixing bricks. Someone there can help you more than I can.

I softmoded my littl' bro's wii with the "Guide: Softmod ANY wii" a long time ago...

I was wondering if I could use ur guide to somehow update the old softmod I did because I dont know if Im missing any IOSs that some games (like Rayman:Raving Rabbids Travel in Time, MetroidP3 Corruption, TRON, Megamind, Michael Jackson:TheExperience, and Wii Sports Resort) need.
This are the only games that wont load or would just get stuck at the "reading disk" screen and that are making me bald all over my body xD.
Im using USBLoader GX; My bro's wii is running on 4.1u, and it has cIOS249 rev20 wich Im about to update to the new one just released.
My point with all this rubbish is that any help on how to get this games running would be much appreciated.
    Thank Yall for ur time.

Why would you update IOS249? It needs to stay at rev17. All the others are rev20. This guide isn't about updating IOS's (which aren't used by backup loaders) or helping you with games that won't run (although I suggest you try a better loader than GX).

    1. run a game (such as Mario Kart, Wii Music, Wii Party,... which are 3.x ) to upgrade your console from 2.2 (at the most, update with Sport-Resort disc.) and you'll fly
    or
    2. visit "Softmod Any Wii" and apply the TP_hack as 2.x with the Zelda_TP disc.

Right guys I'm going to sound like a right idoit now but hey...

Brought a new Wii today... its version 3.4e.

I have been reading this thread for the last few hours download the videos and read though the article many times.

How easy is this to do... and what are chances that I may brick my lovely new Wii?

I'm pretty good on the technical side of thing's with laptops and computers.

I'm very interested in getting involded with the technical side of Wii's and hacking/modding them.

Thanks for the hard work thats gone into this lovely article and any response's i get!

It's pretty easy as far as modding goes. When you do the optional update to 4.1 pay close attention to IOS60. IOS60 is what system menu 4.1 uses to run. It can be though of as the files windows needs to start. If you do not install ios60 before updating to 4.1 then you will brick. Also if you ever uninstall ios60 you will brick. If you stick to the guide you'll be modded in no time flat.

    Hi folks.

    I got to this stage:

    a) Go to Homebrew channel and run Trucha Bug Restorer, load IOS36, press 1, read the warnings then select 'downgrade IOS15', select to load IOS from SD card then let it do its job, keep an eye on what it is doing and make sure you select 'load from sd card' when it asks & don't get any errors.

    b) Run Trucha Bug Restorer again, this time select to load IOS15 on first screen using dpad left/right, then select the IOS36 menu & install patched (select 'yes' on all 3 patches) IOS36 to slot 36, again using IOS from SD card.

I got to B and selected IOS15 but hit the wrong button and it said dont be imaptient and then went to a black screen. I ended up powering the Wii down and trying it again but when I go into Trucha Bug Restorer I just get a black screen.

    Any ideas?

Need some advice on a very odd problem. I've used this guide a few months ago and have been successful i had everything working great. About a month ago friend of mine asked me to borrow the Wii because he wanted to play a game that he saw in my retail collection of stuff.

I got it back today only to discover that he updated the Wii and its running Version 4.3U i want to know what if there was any way to carry it back to how it was before, i still have my Nand backup from since the first time i did the software mod. I also notice i still have the neogamma channel but it just crashes if i try to use it on the wii

What is the best solution for me? should i use the 4.3 softmod guide, or is there someway to recover to wii to how it was before, or any other advice you guys can give
