Your wii starts apparently on preloader menu... go to the autoboot setting in that menu and set autoboot:system menu, that should fix it

Hi, I'm new here, thank you for this wonderful post.

I followed the step 1 to install BootMii as IOS, Homebrew and DVDx. Then I tried to backup the NAND by entering BootMii from Homebrew's home menu. While I was in BootMii menu, I couldn't navigate the menu. I tried the power button ON THE CONSOLE, there was no response. I tried reset button, it DID RESET the machine. Eject button did eject the disk.

Could someone give me some hint on what's going on please. Do I have to use GC control? My Wii is runing 4.1E and its serial number starts with LAH11.

    Thanks in advance

I dont truely know the answer m8, but have you tried using a gamecube controller?

I am new as well and i have read so much stuff over the last few days that most of it didint sink in, however I do remember reading something about using your controller instead of the wiimote. Also i recall it saying something about the reset button working - Good luck

Great guide! Followed it to the letter and no errors at all.

From what I understand, games should be burned onto Verbatim DVD-R for them to work. I don't have any of those right now but I have a ton of TDK DVD+R so I burned a game to that just to test everything out. I got DVD read error 1101 from NeoGamma.

Could the error just be from the DVD I used or could it be something else?
