Bootmii as boot2 only loads up when your SD Card with files inside a BootMii folder is inside your Wii as you turn on your Wii.

o ok. But what files are supposed to be there? The ones already on my sd card, or do i have to get them somewhere else? There is no link for them on the guide.

    Thanks for the help.

Edit: Ok i see the folder with the files, but boot mii doesnt run. what should i do?

you could try to reinstall bootmii as boot2 and use the optioni prepare sd card in the hackmii installer.
make sure everything installs without an error (also you can check if installation succeded by watching the blue dvd light when powering on, if it flashed twice you got bootmii as boot2 installed)

aah, guess: you are in standby and powering on from there, the wii light is orange? power off the wii by holding down the power button till it turns red, try again (also turn off wiiconnect24 in the wii settings to disable standbymode)

if that doesn't help your card may be unsupported, are you using a SD card max. 2Gb (no mini or sdhc card)?
that you can't access it from hbc is because you didn't install bootmii as ios alongside, do it if you want to have it)

    good luck

    <--suggestions helped? press Thanks

    Thumbs up great guide

And it's now time for some feedback. As my wii had Twilight hack made more than 1,5 years ago and I hadn't upgraded it since, I followed this guide and now everything is running as it should.
If it helps somebody then - at the beginning I had:

    3.2E
    wad manager 1.1
    custom wad manager 1.1
    ios downgrader v1.1
    custom ios downgrade 1.2
    cios installer 0.3 gamma wiigator
    shop channel instal 1.1
    starfall/boot.dol
the homebrew channel beta 9. IOS36

Guide works, I didn't brick anything.
    Thanks.

If neither case applies, use an SD card 1 or 2 GB SD, not SDHC, and not a mini/micro with an adaptor. Format the SD card as FAT32 using the full format command in the PC not the Quick format. Redownload the softmod pack, re-extract the pack using WinRar and once again copy the folder contents to your newly formatted SD card. Make sure the files and folders are in the correct locations as depicted in the Step 1A link. Now try Step 3 again and good luck.
This guide should be in the first post as well, or made a sticky. Sure helped my case of the Truncha bug error downgrade ios15 error

Usually this issue comes up with older Wiis; if this would be the case, see this post and use IOS 35 instead (skip steps 3A-3C in this tutorial). The link is for 3.1->4.0->4.1 if --- and I say if --- this is a 3.1 Wii (where usually no IOS 36 can be found).
