did you Identify your Wii ? put in your serial to see if you got a D3-v2 or a D4 chip on your dvd drive. if that is the case, NO burned disc will run on your system and you have to go on a usb harddrive loading route.
try a different disc loader, try uloader or cfg usbloader
    thank you for reply.
its used wii from games store.
    nope.
Where i can find that serial number?
is there any different disc loader than neogamma?

    Firmware Updater v4.1 not working

I am having trouble with the fireware unpdater. My Wii is curently running 3.4u and I am at the step to update prior to the last step. When I run the updater it will randomly fail with some error and then make me restart and im still in the old firmware. I have ran it a few times and it fails at different spots everytime. The furthest it has mad it was at the shopping undates. Anyone have any idea how I can make this update fully?

What error does it give you? I would just do the offline update. Install IOS 60 patched (and make sure it installs!) then Install system menu 4.1 (you can find the system menu wad in Gen3sf's Periodic posting of Mirror links.
    Damn I suck!!!!

@alvie-your wireless network connection is either too weak or unstable to sustain the download, install, update, and verification procedures. You can either keep trying-maybe late at night with less network traffic, move the wireless router and Wii closer together, make sure no one in your house is using the network etc. I am posting my regular post with links for offline updates, etc right after this post.

    Regular Periodic Posting of Links

    Regular Periodic Posting of Links

    1. MIRROR SITES

If the Tutorial download link does not work for you and you are not using a download manager and have already checked your firewall settings, cleared your browser's history and cache, then here are some alternative mirror sites for the softmod download:
Mirror 1 (Megaupload) and Mirror 2 (MediaFire).

Rar files can be extracted with
    WinRar, 7-Zip, or RarZilla.

    2. Offline update to system menu 4.1. (Updates only the system menu, no IOSes or channels are updated as in the case of the network updating, so the interim 4.0 step is not performed in the offline update of 3.1 and earlier Wiis.)

Repeated failure of network update or Wii has NO INTERNET. Perform an offline update of the system menu:

If your Wii is 3.xU (US):
    SystemMenu-NTSCU-v449.rar
If your Wii is 3.xE (European):
    SystemMenu-PAL-v450.rar

(Post in the forum thread if you need to update a different region and a link will be provided)

Download the correct system menu file for your Wii’s region. Use WinRar to extract the sysmenu wad file. Copy the wad to your SD card and use Wad Manager to install (leave at the default settings of IOS249 and SD card slot) IOS60patched and then sysmenu.wad. Proceed to Tutorial Step 5B.

    3. Unable to download Firmware Updater 4.0: Mirror Site
HERE . Use WinRar to extract the file and then copy the boot.dol file into the Apps folder on your SD card. Make sure you have installed IOS60patched. Go to the HBC menu and run FW4.0Updater. You may now run FW4.1updater; no need to re-install IOS60patched. Proceed to Tutorial Step 5B.

@hyphy-because your Wii was purchased as a used model from a game store, the serial number may not accurately reflect in internal components. It is very likely, given your situation, that the Wii Drive has been replaced with one of the newer drives that cannot read a backup disc.

You can install backups of your game disc originals from one of the two USB HDD/device guides on this site. Use either this guide HERE or this guide HERE

    Question

I have a question. I followed the entire guide and everything worked perfectly. No problems at all. Then I read at the very bottom on the guide on how to setup a USB HDD to play games (Loading and Playing Wii Backup Games from USB HDD) So I read that entire guide and loaded USB Loader GX. After I loaded USB Loader GX, my sensor bar did not respond.

Does anyone else have problems like this? I hook up a controller to the wii remote and i can use a cursor. But with the wii remote alone, I can only use buttons and not the sensor. There is no cursor. The wii sensor is plugged in and still not recognizing. Any advice on what I can do?

First off, if you have no issues with this guide, no need to revisit it. Should post issues in the guide you are following. Secondly, I have had issues like that with 3rd party controllers, but if this is not the case maybe something was done incorrectly, or another revision of the usb loader should be tried.

Either way, if this softmod guide worked for you and you are having issues that are related to something done in another guide, that is the place to ask.
