boot.elf doesn’t work for me… Whenever I try to install it through Data Management > Channels > SD Card, my Wii freezes, forcing me to power down and reboot. Is it because I already have the Homebrew Channel installed? (I’m trying this to get BootMii so that I can backup my NAND and install VC .wad files.) I have everything placed correctly as shown; my only other explanation is that the other stuff that I have on my SD card (which is a Sandisk, 2 GB card, by the way), which includes custom Brawl textures, music, titles, etc., might be interfering with the boot.elf file—unless it’s boot.dol I need and not boot.elf?

Tried that, didn’t work. Also, I realized my SD card was a FAT so I formatted it to FAT 32, but still nothing. :/

when you first softmodded your wii did u not install bootmii, (bootmii as boot2, or bootmii as ios) one of the steps is to install it.
load homebrew, press home then luanch bootmii

Don’t recall when I first installed the Homebrew Channel, but I’m pretty sure I never installed BootMii, since I went onto HB, clicked Menu on my Wii remote and didn’t see BootMii anywhere. I’m wondering if maybe the best solution right now would be to uninstall and then reinstall Homebrew…

Mine doesn’t say that. If I right click and select format, it just offers me some options that I can’t really do anything with and the option to format to FAT or FAT 32. It says nothing at all about full FAT 32 format.
