I installed Hermes V4 after completing the softmod guide (V5 appears to have bugs, so I'd not go that route). It doesn't conflict with NeoGamma as NG doesn't support it; USB Loader GX, Configurable USB Loader, and I think WiiFlow does (there may be more).

I have just a few quick queries, i have a Pal Wii on 4.1 and i'm still using HBC 1.03.
Am i able to update the HBC safely as i remember something about it turning upside down.
If that happens how do i fix that?
And should i go to 4.2 or just stay on 4.1?
Most games seem to run no problems, apart from RB2 and Lego RB, but that may be couse they are NTSC. any one get them to work on a pal wii please let me know the settings, I use USB Loader GX
I have only just installed cios installer for 222 and 223 to get Band Hero working and read that to get the other 2 to go i need to install 232 as well...but can't find that installer at all, and the cios installer i have doesn't show that ios. The installer was for uloader.
oh and i am still on cIOS38-rev14, should i update to 17?

if its upside down try reinstalling it that fix is it.(on what i v read)by junkmail:My Homebrew is upside down!!!!!!
So your homebrew channel is upside down… This means either your TV needs to rotate 180 degrees, OR some people thought this would be a great prank to pull on people who pirate games. The way to fix this is to re-install homebrew… All is well again.
No need to update to 4.2 as you said you can play all the games and if the game requires it install the ios needed. The main reason Nintendo put out the 4.2 update was to destroy homebrew
this is for you ios223
your choice if you wanna swap from ciosrev14 to 17 chek for opinions here;

Thanks for the info Cile!
just a quick question regarding the cios installer v4, in the Installation procedure it mentions that it will only work with wifi, and will not work with the LAN adaptor.
as i have a LAN adaptor does this mean i will need to not use the cios installer but use the Hermes IOS222.wad instead? and will i still need to install it twice and merge the ios etc as in the guide?

NAND cleaner produced errors when I run it with my 4.1. I think I'll be posting a new topic on it's own as I do not want to confuse people on this post here

hi guys found this thread to be very interesting so much so I gave it a go with my new black wii that i got over xmas. It has all worked perfectly until i started to load games via an external HD.
Neogamma detects the games in the HD and it lets me scroll through them for the required choice. Once the game is loaded (you get the usual start up screens etc) i notice that the light on my Hard drive goes out (its a 250 gb iomega portable usb hard drive - i saw that it was compatible from this site i believe).
Once the light of the hard drive goes out either the game freezes or just does not load up at all. I noticed loading New Super Mario Bros wii that the game loaded up then the hard drive light went out - i took the usb cable for the HD out and put it back in then the game worked once more. After about 30 secs or so the HD light went out again.
Is this due to the new black wii that I have or is it the HD? I am very confused about it all
Your help is much appreciated!!
