Install cIOS38 rev17, that is the latest cIOS and it seems like it is trouble free, that will help you with the NSMB problem your having. As for your other problems, are you loading from a usb device or a disc?

EDIT - my mistake, I went and looked and I see that you have installed cIOS38 rev17, the best I can say is have a look about the forum.

Your wii is hacked already, shouldn't be a problem. Start out with running a USB Loader from homebrew channel first, then install a forwarder or channel later. The way I started out was to run a usb loader from the homebrew channel and used a 8GB memory stick as a usb drive. Then once I got that working I went and bought a USB hard drive. One step at a time. I'll tell you though, all the games work from USB Loader and I hacked my Wii with the twilight hack, added IOS38, 53, 55, and some cIOS's 249, 202, 222, 223, and patched IOS60 (just in case), and never had to add another IOS for 8 months now. Just have to keep the cIOS updated.

    hello
i had 3.2 c with cioscorp. i formated it because i wanted a fresh installation no knowing that "format" function does not clean my wii. after this i followed the post solving the problem with the homebrew installation. after this one i followed the post with "how to make your wii a virgin one". in the end i started following the tutorial in this thread but i get an error at step 3, a.

Load NeoGamma and play your backup games using NeoGamma. Only original games can be played from the disc channel. If this is very important to you that all your game discs play from disc channel- you should go with a modchip.

Another option is to install cIOSCORP-make very sure you read the readme file and understand what you are doing to the Wii if you install cIOSCORP; most of the core IOSes of the Wii will be replaced. This creates very significant differences in a cIOSCORP'ed Wii so that you CANNOT just follow any standard softmod guide with cIOSCORP installed and you MUST ID your Wii as having cIOSCORP installed when asking for help. Most of the time problems are due to having cIOSCORP installed and trying to install a normal softmod update or follow a regular softmod guide.

    help needed

ok just started the hack. I am at the trucha bug restorer. Once I load the app I press A to load IOS36. I read the warning and press 1. I then get an error. "other button pressed, press any button to exit" What have I done wrong?
