That sounds as if your softmod is gone... typically if the wiimote light goes off it means Step 3 hadn't been completed correctly. Have you recently accepted an online update request or a disc-based update request? You might've monkeyed with your mod by doing so...

Also Neo Gamma is up to R8 RC1 now, you may wish to try that as well (on page 1/post 1 of this thread).

    Zeltrix and VIPPower:

Read the tutorial, it's in there. If you don't understand the simple basics as outlined, I'd recommend you guys seriously think twice about doing this mod...

That's one way (probably the easiest) to do it, provided you have BootMii as boot2 level install/access.

    morning nightstah

    I was on version 4.0

You seem to be the man to ask, i have got as far as installing the iso60 patch, but when i use the firmware updater 4.1 it did nothing for a while like other users have mentioned.

while typing this it has gone to >> downloading content #09 . . . and now #10

    on we go

How long does the download take so others dont think it has frozen ( now #11 and #12 )

My Wiiconnect 24 is still turned off from the start, but the wii was setup for internet.

been about 5-10 minutes now and its gone to #27 and now #127

    >>>> My internet speed has not always been great plus the fact i am downloading to.
The whole fireware 4.1E update took me about 15 minutes, it downloads the update first and then installs the same after it has downloaded them just to clear it up for other users.

    thanks

Think i read in another post that it is ok now
I am always getting the update for homebrew channel, is this now ok to update and click yes.

but not for wii nintendo updates

All went fairly smoothly, still plays original games. have downloaded a game which i will hopefully burn to dvd disc and try

do i install USB loader GX if i wanted to use a USB external hard drive and do i just add the ISO file to the hard drive or other?
    thankyou again

edit: have burnt dvd using IMGBURN ( Formula1 2009 ) and it works very nicely. biggest thanks

Ohhhh. I didn't think you had to get an actual update from Nintendo themselves, rather than a file that was packaged in the zip. Okay. So I don't need to do that, seeing as I'm already on 4.1. And would you be able to help with the Homebrew question? xD; Just skip step 2, right?

    Step 3D and 5D cIOS

    Hi Nightstah,

I got a question for you. When I am doing step 3d Run cIOS38 r17 installer, select IOS36 as the one it should use and then select wad install. This installs IOS38-64-v3867. Isn't this the same as installing IOS38-64-v3867 at step 5d? Is this a redundant step?

    Thanks,
