    Their solutions to Limaj's issue were
    1)press A 3 times theres things
    2)+ - to choose the correct IOS.

    but I can NOT find ios36 still.

    Could you guys please help me?
    (I have 3.0u rigjt now with Homebrew installed and miiboot image backuped)

    What is next steps? I am trying to following 3a)-3d)

    Thank you!!!
    My resolution to my issue: I used http://adewii.wordpres.com/category/uploader and look for title "Prepare any wii for dvd backup launcher & USB Loader"
    It solves my issue.
    THere is no ios36 to load for my 3.0U wii. I also reference "Easy way to get cios on ANY Wii!" thread as well.

    New Softmod, Neogamma 7 DVD Read Error 1101 help needed...

    4.1 US virgin Wii.

    Started here:
    http://www.wiihacks.com/recommended-...n-4-0-wii.html

    * BootMii installed as boot2.
    * Backed up NAND.
    * Installed DVDx.
    * Installed HBC.

    I then installed cIOS38r14 and Neogamma 7.
    Ran NeoGamma, it told me I didn't have a 249 cIOS

    Next:
    http://www.wiihacks.com/recommended-...s-any-wii.html

    * Go to Homebrew channel and run Trucha Bug Restorer, load IOS36, press 1, read the warnings then select 'downgrade IOS15', select to load IOS from SD card then let it do its job.
    * Run Trucha Bug Restorer again this time load IOS15 on first screen, select the IOS36 menu & install patched (select 'yes' on all 3 patches) IOS36 to slot 36, again using IOS from SD card.
    * Run Trucha Bug Restorer again, load IOS36 and this time select restore IOS15.
    * Run cIOS38r14 installer select IOS36 as the one it should use and then select wad install.

    Tried NeoGamma7 again, no more missing cIOS message, but I get a 'DVD Read error 1101'.

    Downgraded to cIOS38r13a and NeoGamma6, I get a 'DVD Read error 972.'

    Backup disk is Wii Sports Resort Usa.
    I've tried burning at 8x and 4x on a DataWare (Yuden) DVD-R.
    Also tried burning at 8x on a Sony DVD+R.
    All return same error.
    Dvd burner I think is a notebook LG GSA-T20N DVD±RW Dual Layer burner.

    Hello , I just got a 3.1E Wii, with the serial LEH1819 ...I would like to softmod it, but my question is, do I need to update to something higher ? I saw that the upgrade part is optional, but is it recommended to upgrade ? And should I make the upgrade before I make any steps on the softmode guide ?
    Thank you very much .

    i had the same problem, i had bought a 4.0U, messed around with it got the HBC installed and nothing else worked, so i found this guide but it wouldnt launch from the sd channels, so i upgraded to official 4.1U, followed the guide and ended up with the same error. i re-did the whole thing to just end up on the same problem. i didn't try cIOS38r13a, because the suggestion was not made before i attempted to downgrade it. that didn't end up too well and i ended up with a brick, went to the store exchanged it and they gave me a 3.4U, guide worked perfectly with that one.

    hope you figure it out without having to return it. On the plus side, it will still read from usb, so if you have a usb drive you can use that.

    My 4.0 / 4.1 was LU39

    If you are going to upgrade, use the files provided to upgrade, not the official upgrade from nintendo and do it at the part it is in the guide.

    if you upgrade in step 4, do you still have to do the optional part of installing the shop channel or is that already patched during the upgrade?

    On the plus side, it will still read from usb, so if you have a usb drive you can use that.
    Can you direct me to a tutorial or faq that will tell me how to convert/transfer my backup .iso to a usb drive?

    Is this where scrubbing and alternate .dols come into play?

    Do you recommend launching the usb backup from NeoGamma?

    Any other tips/tricks I should know about before attempting to run backups off usb?

    download this

    usb loader GX.rar

    Install WBFSManager which is in the pc folder, hook up your usb drive to the pc, format it using wbfsmanager and then browse to your ISOs and transfer them, plug in ur usb drive into your wii after its done, run neogamma r7 once on the menu change the load from dvd to usb hit A and your games will be up top, you can hit left/right to switch between them.

    haven't used usb loader so i can't comment on that.
