I have previously modified my Wii. How should I follow this guide?

I'm currently on version 4.1 and I already have bootmii, hbc, and other mods working. Am I safe to just go ahead and install Priiloader and the IOS revisions or should I check for something else before hand?

I'm just trying to be careful because it has been ages since I updated my Wii.

I would do 2 things first:

    1) install patched IOS60 (unless you already did it?);

    2) make a NAND backup of your Wii.

Then I'd install priiloader... and btw, go for v0.1, not v0.2. link

I can't remember if I already installed the patched IOS60. But it won't hurt to do it again will it?

if i can only install bootmii as an IOS and even with NAND bkup and the pre(prii)loader install my wii is not brick safe? correctc?

for wath i understand if a disc update or miss calculated instalation delets my preloader or bootmii i get a brick wii?
but can't the preloader prevent disc updates?

    botom line:
if i install nothing else and have the preloader prevent disc updates is my wii safe from bricks?

    Red face

Thanks to this guide and the files, i have sucessfully (!) soft modded my daughters wii!, but i think because it's been a long day and i ran out of time at her house, i think i might not quite be grasping the backup thing!........ i updated a 3.4e to 4.1e etc, and i burnt new super mario brothers to dvd-r using imgburn @ x4 speed, put the disc in, and tried to load it from the disc channel because it shows the game etc, but then it says an error has occured and to eject the disc and restart the wii, should i really be using neogamma as supplied on the tut instead? (install it from wad manager?) then put the disc in and boot it from neogamma and not the normal disc channel? also i don't like the priiloader start up screen and it won't autoboot to start menu, so can i install v0.1 over the top of it to cure this problem but still have the security of priiloader? thanks in advance

Yes. That's how you should load your games.

Yes you can. I have more than once. v0.2 is buggy.

So is it safe to move on like it is or do I need to get IOS36 first?
Anything to loose by moving up from menu 3.2 to menu 4.1?
Does this keep the thrucha bug in all ios's or will I need to install from IOS249 after the upgrade?

    Thanks!
Your original 3.2 Wii has the Trucha Bug and you were able to install cIOS without IOS36 as directed. An update will not replace all your IOSes so those IOSes that already had the Trucha Bug vulnerability will not have all been replaced. You may continue, IOS36 whether clean or patched will not be needed. Choose IOS249. No losses by updating; if you update to 4.1, you will have the ability to use SDHC cards, the system menu will support SDHC cards upto 32GB. WiiWare and VC games can be moved and played from SD card; 20 more channel pages on the screen will be available, and there is some increased efficiency in system menu use. You are the best judge of the benefit of these improvements on your gameplay. I remain on 3.2 and play from HDD and dislike crowded channels screens, I don't even display game covers and load from rapid title scrolling in USB Loader GX; but, that's my preference-your needs may differ.

If by "What do I do for that" you meant update to 4.1, follow the directions in Step 4.

If you meant, turn off WiiConnect24 - go to the same page in Wii Options where you set up access to the wireless router. In addition to the menu choice for Internet; on that same page there is a button to select for WiiConnect24
