tony996 - Some further insight into your issue. It seems that bootmii can indeed load something more useful. See this thread about cboot2 for more detail. Only spent 5 minutes looking into it but might give you some chance of recovery.

    http://www.wiihacks.com/bricked-wii-...nger-4-0e.html

The SSBB hack isn't going to be much use for bricks I wouldn't have thought, it's not an autobooting disc hack but a vunerability from loading custom data from the SD card, similar to both bannerbomb and TP hacks in that you need to havea working Wii to operater it.

Now if a disc could be loaded from the recovery menu or start up that told the SD card to boot code then that'd be something else.

Tony -- Further to my previous post I've found something of interest. With cboot2 you can load a special version of wad manager which will allow you to recover your Wii.

I haven't tested this as I have no Wii access right now but it might be worth a look for you.

And the file, which is to go on your SD card and replaces the normal bootmii instruction (don't worry it's only temporary) cboot2.zip

Here's the thread I read about it
    CBoot2 rev 16 with a GC controler wad manager - GBAtemp.net

man, teal you are the best. I really do appreciate looking for answers for me. But, my wii is a real shit, it started to boot and then it said fail..................... but here are a couple of things that can help some people, i realized that my sd card was not working then i read on one of your links that the sd card should be formated to FAT. okay, so i went back and redid everything you told be, still failed. But that last thing should work for many bricked wiis, so that is a bonus.

    Incompatible how?

Did you get a disc not recognised error?

Were you using an original of SSB or a back up copy?

    Thanks.
