If you can load bootmii at boot you can do all sorts of things to recover depending on the severity of your Brick.

Updating gamma shouldn't cause a brick, unless we are talking about channel installation, in which case a simple loading of wad manager and remvoing the offending wad willl sort you out.

I have tried Zantzue's Anti Brick Disc, it didn't load too.
I guess the last chance unbrick disc is the only hope now.

I couldn't get this to boot either.

Here's what you need to get it to work:

It boots automatically the Homebrew Channel (more usefull than a Wad Manager autoboot disc). What you need is a modchip (you do need a modchip to run an application autoboot disc), the Homebrew Channel already installed, Waninkoko's cIOS (any version) and trucha bug unfixed on the IOS of the System Menu.

tony - You seem to have developed a full low level brick in a very mysterious way. Installing a cIOS should never cause this level of damage, neither should installing a bad channel which wopuld tell you the system files are corrupt.

I think there's something else going on here. Did you try installing or downgrading to a system menu from another region or something?

You can boot a .dol file from the SD card (third menu item) so will be able to load WAD manager, hackmii installer or whatever you need.

Won't be able to give best advice until I know exactly what you did.

unfortunately the guide i was using was erased two days ago!!!!! now i don't have a point of reference on what i was doing. If i remember correctly i was using wad manager and i tried installing ios-64-v3610.wad file and then the wii gave me an error message and next thing i know it does not work anymore--black screen.

Sounds like IOS38-64-v3610 which we use to play some of the newer games. A failed install of that should not low level brick any Wii, it must be something else.

What was the guide intended to do? Was it a complete softmodding tutorial or just to use a particular aspect?

Also need your System Menu level you currently have, including region.
