    Question

    I am on 4.1U.

Everything in this tutorial works fine until I get to step 8 - Install cIOS36 rev10 to IOS249 using Network install mode. My screen goes black and nothing happens. I cannot go any further as the same thing happens with the following steps. Has anyone else run into this problem and resolved this - how?

    Any ideas?
i'm having the same problem except mine is 450 (as i have a pal machine). ive tried the dl on two different machines to no avail. everything else passes the verify except the system menu wad. ive even tried NUS Downloader 1.2 to get just the systemmenu wad and that fails the verify as well. its driving me mad because i dont want to mod until ive updated the menu and dont want to risk the bricking by using a systemmenu wad that fails verify.

any help will be greatly appreciated by both myself and my girlfriend.
    cheers,
    fleaborg.

Step 4 need GC in slot one to access the menu, i think it used to work with the console buttons but not in latest version. The faq on bootmii described it as too low of a function to access the wiimote, at the level it is running none of the "drivers" are accessable so noremote available ecept a hard wired one.

i think step 5 will work if you get a GC controller

step 10 well if you were already there i can see why it would do nothing. I think it may be there just to be sure you are at 3.2 before you continue.

Step 11 I had same problem but as said before Sys Updater 4.0 worked and the 4.1 right after worked. these are both the Waninkoko update programs.

Step 14 I found it, but forgot where, I think it was in the hacks submenu,
Just re-verified this Tutorial this weekend. As per all these comments above, they should really be added to the tutorial. But in essence everything does install fine.

You can navigate through the bootmii menu by plugging in a gamecube controller or by using the power, reset and eject button on the front of your wii.

To get better compatibility for disks running from your disk channel you will need to load Ios 38, 53, 55 http://www.wiihacks.com/homebrew-dow...8-53-55-a.html

yes I now but I've already bricked my wii once because of that DAMN preloader I was lucky that I could send it to warranty but I don't want to do that again I saw once a video on youtube of a guy that he did a similar process and went to a thing like a recovery menu that he could lauch: the system , the homebrew channel and other 2 things that I don't rember I think It was hackmii or bootmii It was something like that because he just installed homebrew via bannerbomb and then he showed that
