For the Offline Downgrade Upgrade, every time I run prepare.bat, the same SystemMenuv289.wad file comes as a bad file. Should I be worried about this or can I continue with the downgrade?

Same possible problem with the offline version, everything shows as being fine except for SystemMenuv289.wad in the MooSFV

Another quick question, I'm running HBC 1.0.1, and currently IOS36 v4.16(or8), can't quite make it out. Should I update the HBC before moving to system menu 4.0

    Thanks

I never used the offline installation for the downgrade/update. I know you're probably anxious to get your Wii softmodded/updated, but if I were you using that offline installation I'd want to do it right due to the sensitivity of the situation if one were to make a mistake a brick is possible. As I got deeper into softmodding my Wii I eventually got brick protection and came to find it's very good insurance to have. I'd google around and find that file in good condition.

I want to softmod my Wii as quick as possible, but I have to make sure it works and it doesn't brick. So I need a safe way, but I need something that is easy to do.

Hmm. The files for step 3 and 4 just boot me back to the health/safety/system menu. I don't remember this from before at all. I re-downloaded these files to make sure and they do the same thing. Why?
