Hey, i know this question has been asked before but since this is the first time for me i want to be sure before i try any of this.
- Wii with system menu 4.0u
- Softmodded with bannerbomb using this method Wiikend hacks: Installing the Homebrew Channel on 4.0
Now the Question is how do i get to the point where i can load ISO's from my kingston 8gb SDHC card? How do i setup the SD card with the wad and ISO's to make this work?
I have read many posts and have seen many variations, if someone could post a detailed instruction to get this to work with SD card setup or even point me to a link that describes this process in reasonable amount of detail. It would be very very higly appreciated.
Thanks in advance for your patience!

I had the same issue. You need to go into settings and upgrade the version you have. They changed the website that the boxart is loaded from.

Yes and no. LOL from my own experiences and hours of reading forums, there are 2 ways u can go about this.
1. You can download WBFS manager and format ur HD and USB loader will recognize it provided it's compatible.
2. The other is as u mentioned use USB loader to do it for u.
in either case your gonna lose any information on your HD, Having said that, if u want to be able use it both on ur Wii as well as your PC ur gonna have to partition your HD and select the primary partition ( i believe, but u might need to check) for the wii and format it with either the WBFS manager or from within the app. There is an option to select which partition to use, if i'm not mistaken. It would seem that whatever approach u use it would be wise to backup ur data.
So yes if u haven't already created the partition and no if u have.
Hope this helps...
cheers and good luck!

i didn't notice if this had been addressed already but i have been trying forever to get sd/usb loader to work for me the problem is that when i use it the loader opens up just fine v1.5 and i select usb mass storage device with my sdhc card mounted into a card reader plugged into the wii usb port or i switch out the sdhc cards when i try to load from sd card either way it loads and i get no wbfs partition found i push A to create one i do that and i get the message error no partitions found! (ret= -6) press any button to restart i have tried both cios rev 13 and 10 doesn't seem to make difference I'm using a sandisk 16gb sdhc card to load my backed up games i put them on there just fine with wbfs manager other info i have the latest hbc and I'm using the Waninkoko 4.0u update release i cant get it to work any ideas from anyone would help thanks

I would assume it should also work for you but that is not always the case.
Try reformatting the sdhc to fat32 and let it convert it to WBFS format for u. provided it can recognize the partition in fat32. Also try and download the latest WBFS manager(3.0?) and format ur card.
It would be wise to try ur card on USB loader GX (r584) as well as that seems to have a wider range of drives that work for it. Try the other usb port as well might just work, who knows!
I spent a week trying to get wii sports resort to work, i finally got it to work but for some stupid odd reason the wiimote keeps disconnecting. So there are always oddities, u never know wht might work for u.

ok so i checked the compatibility of my card reader and they only had one transcend card reader listed it was as working with usb loader i also tried geexbox because i thought perhaps my usb ports were messed up but geexbox saw it was there and opened it just fine and when i partition it as fat32 it still doesn't see that's its there with usb loader although in that format it opens in the wii just fine although that might be pointless info haha and i am currently useing wbfs manager 3.0 and i tried usb loader gx but sadly it also didn't seem to see that there was anything there and when i selected ios 222 (i believe thats what it was its the one on the right) it locks up my wii and i have to restart anyways i do thank you for your help it was worth trying if you have any more ideas i would love to hear them thanks in advance

Sweeet! I've got the GX Loader working. I had some crap USB enclosure that just work not work. So I looked through the confirmed working USB devices, and found a 1TB Western Digital My Book Essential Edition at the local OfficeMax. Copied an ISO over to it, and it worked right away.
Thanks for all the good info here!!

Well I can't say what you can try with your current setup, so let me just say that it might be worth your while to get a compatible USB hard drive mentioned in the compatibility list. Personally going thru the list of various USB loaders available i found USB loader GX was the easiest to setup. Now this is not meant to take away from the other USB loaders, which are all good in their own right. It's a matter of finding what best works for you .

I have a WD 160GB passport edition and a WD 320 GB passport, i chose these coz they seem to have the highest success rate based on compatibility lists provided on different sites. I mean why re-invent the wheel just go with what works.
