I'm 99% certain the drive I am using is Western Digital. It's an old 80Gb 3.5" IDE in a powered enclosure that I've had lying around for a while. I also have a WD 2.5" 250Gb and WD 1Tb 3.5" but I'm not willing to format those to test just yet!

I'm astounded at how quickly this app rips Wii games! It's lightning quick

Great link for all those using USB loader.

I'm currently using "Western Digital 320 GB Passport 2.5" USB 2.0 Hard Drive" with no issues found yet, though the link shows issues. (have played for over 2 hours without problems)

To take advantage of old IDE drives, I recently purchased this item off amazon. It also works on the Wii with one of my WD 60GB drives. I like the IDE / SATA features of it, though the IDE drives are extremely loud. (note: Haven't played them off this device for any significant amount of time). Great price for it, though I haven't fully tested it yet.

Many thanks for this - my 'backup' external drive now hosts my Wii images. No issues with ISO just used WBFS manager to format & upload ISO's and working nicely.

Hey guys. I could use a little help. I've installed the USBLoader to my Wii (running 4.0u), and it seems to be okay. I won't have a drive to test it with till next week. Now I'm trying to install the uploader forwarder channel. I have Waninkoko's WadManager v1.4. When I put the wad into the folder and try to install it, I get an error "ret= -2011". Can anyone help me figure out what's wrong? I'm following this tutorial:

How to Store/Load Wii Games via USB Hard Drive [Slick Tricks]

I've done up to step 4. That's the step I'm having an issue with. It's an optional step, but I'd like to do it if I can.

Thanks in advance for any help you can give me.

    Some games won't play

Oh man, I was so happy to get this working...
I ripped my entire collection testing the occasional game...
    Using SD\USB Loader 1.5

Wii Sports, Fit, Play etc all work flawlessly

House of the dead 2, 3 and Overkill work great...

    BUT....

Mario Galaxy, Metroid, Madworld, No More Heroes, and Okami all fail

The screen goes black, HD lights up and stays lit, but no game

    Tried re-ripping...no good...

Using Maxtor eternal USB powered drive....other games work, but these games do NOT

Any ideas...I really hope it's something simple...

Even tried different versions of USB Loader...1.0, 1.1, 1.4

    Please gimme some feedback!

    Thanks in advance!

Weird, Mario Glaxy worked for me no probs. Could be Maxtor brand hard drive, I've had about 5 drives fail on me over the last 5 years or so for various reasons.

I have the same problem. I'm running 4.0 and first I get error=2011 then I apply the fix and get error=-1015...well thats what I think it is.
    Any help?
