    Smile WBFS Help!

This is not the first program I have downloaded. Many of the programs (NUSD is another that does this same thing) When I try to execute it, the program closes and windows "A problem causes this program to stop working correctly." Does anyone know what I can do to execute these programs without window errors. I am trying to format my HDD but can't get the manager program to work.

Also, I am a little nervous about this formatting. I have a Iomega Prestige Destop HD 1TB. I want to partion it so I can run HBC, isos, backups, and possibly backup my movies and pictures from my computer. What is the best way to partition the drive and how much space should I use for each partition.
Do I do the NTFS first? How do I get the WBFS Manager onto the Wii to partition the WBFS portion. Am I right to say that NTFS will run my wads, HBC and such without FAT32 portion?

I have done great from installing HBC, to making backups, to getting movies and music to play, burning isos, but this HD is scary. LOL Any help would be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks!

    wbfs partition creator

When I use WFBS I just open it up on the computer and format drive still pops up even after I have formated. Just close the popup and in the fbfs program select your drive and hit load. Your games should pop up.

*list the wiidisc that are on the wbfs, you will get the DISCID, game name, number of wide sectors used, and number of GB used.
    wbfs_win.exe X list
where X is my hd "G"

When I run it it says that wbfs_win.exe is not recognized as an internal or external command , operable program or batch file .

What am i doing wrong ?
    Thank you
If you didn't figure it out by now, you have to have the non-windows DOS commands in the directory you are executing them from, ie if you type "dir" and hit enter and you cannot see the wbfs_win.exe file, then you are in the wrong directory to start with and you need to navigate (change directory) to the correct directory you put these commands in when you put them on your PC.

    Clear as mud eh!

    wbfs partition creator

I would try to delete the wbfs manager and re download it, it could have been a broken file. Other that that I have no idea. Haven't come across that prob yet.

    im stumped

i think i have the wii programmed correctly. I also think i have the usb hdd setup correctly. using wbfs i was able to move iso files over to hdd and created hbc. however when i plug the drive into the wii and go to homebrew channel it just sets. bubbles flow and at bottom right hand corner a light on the last icon flickers. nothing else happens.

    what am i missing?

Hi I have a 100gb laptop portable drive in fat32 format, I use wii backup manager and transfer the ISO`s to a WBFS file and copy straight to my hard drive, it`s alot smaller than an ISO and run directly from the usb loader.

1 drive 1 format and can still read on all comps

    Cheers

I had problems with "could not open drive" etc, until I realized that my Sandisk Cruzer thumb drive came with preinstalled software and was already formatted NFS. So if you get a new thumb drive, format it first!
