    remember i did say i was a noob in a way
    I was trying to do the install in wad mode no network installation lol

    You don't need to do a network install the CIOS is in the dol file so just do a normal install and enjoy the fun!

    ripping games to the 16 gb drive now

    *edit

    ok, well i was able to format the 16gb with the wii, brought it back to the pc, used WBFS GUI to put some games on the HDD

    when i plug the stick back into the wii, get the subsystem error all over again

    instead of using my pc to dump onto the HDD, should i just use the wii and rip from the disks?

    Well yes but alot of people pirate wii games using torrents so uploading to the HDD from a pc is needed for them, if you just want to backup the games you own rip them through the wii

    dude, the 16 gb worked great, i have about 300 gb of backups(70 or so)
    throwing them on my 500 gb right now, thanks alot for your help man

    is their any way to rip the game on to the HDD with the ISO LOADER and copy it over to the Computer??

    the reason i ask is because i am running windows XP professional and when i try to get into the HDD it wants me to format it. so i am just a little bit confused.
