well i have a d2pro9 and when i looked in the 1.3 utility disk it said read speed is 6x,i have been burning all my games at 6x using hp dvds. THEY ALL WORK but my question is that should i change my burning speed to 2x and get verbatim dvds? because i don't want to over work my wii dvd laser. hp is a big corporation and i assume they use good diode on there dvds i have also used sony/hp dvds before on my ps2 and have yet a single problem.

so should i continue to use HP dvds?

what about the write speeds should i reduce the speed even thought they play fine?

When I tried to burn Zelda Twilight Princess, it reads it and all, but sometimes, there are certain parts of the game where it just gets stuck, like when he gets something special or something. It doesn't always happen at any one spot, each time its somewhere else, but yeah...it just stops there. Then, I have to turn of the Wii, and turn it back on to make it work again. Has anyone had a similiar issue or knows what the problem is and how to fix it?

    • [1]If they work at 6 x..... and no probs......ok....

    • [2]TY's or Verbatims....yes
    • [3]...up to you..hp is not known for good dye in their disc.. I would switch
    • [4]If they work at 6 x..... and no probs......ok....

4 x is the recommended burn speed as long as your dvd media supports it

read speed of 6x have nothing to do with the the burn speed

Wow this is gay. It's not really hacking the Wii if you need a dam mod chip to play all the burnt games The reason I'm saying this is because I don't have a mod chip! :P

Do you have to have LG drive to burn or to Backup Wii Game? Meaning all of you have LG drive when you burn or backup? I've tried Internal IDE Plextor &LiteOn, TSSTCorp (Dell Laptop's ) and Sony Slim Drive external USB, didn't work any. Tried both on Vista 64 and XP Pro... Should I buy LG GBC-H20LI or any LG DVDRW drive??
