Very good thread going on here.
I have put a little article together on how to burn a downloaded ISO wii game.
If you have any problems or struggle with the tutorial posted here then check out: How to burn a Wii game / iso | Colin Jensen
I hope this helps people who are still struggling

they should unrar into an iso and then use a program called imgburn or nero to burn at 1X speed. I am not an expert though just hate if someone doesn't answer me too.

Dual layer any time?
Hey guys, noob question. Can I use dual layer disks for a game which could fit on a single layer disk? I don't want to have to buy two types of media. Do dual layer -r disks even exist?
Thanks in advance.

Not sure if this is the right place to ask for help. But I'm having trouble getting Build A Bear Workshop Pal to play. I've already burned it twice, first time I think I forgot to WiiBrickBlock it because it Pal and I have 3.3u store bought forget what happens but I remember a green screen or flash. Second burn i sure I used BrickBlocker and get nothing but a green screen. I'm useing 0.3 gamma I think Ntsc is forced, Ive also tryed pal50 and pal60 the green screen goes away but Im left, not sure how to describe it a stuttering screen?
Any help would be appreciated.

Burning Backup Games
Hi looking for some help...I have a softmodded Wii wiht backup launcher loaded...when trying to launch the games...it seems to read the disc ok...it displays a game id...but then a black screen and the optical drive 'clunks' away trying to read the disk I suppose...I am using verbatim media and imgburn at x1 ....is it a media issue or is there something else? thanks for any suggestions

when burning the disc, should you have the verify box checked? i tried to burn countless wii games with imgburn and it appeared to be done, but it didnt play.

Yes check verify box, I've always done so and haven't had one failed burn.

i used to verify my discs with img burn but then one day i started to get an error every time verify would start.... since then i havent ever verified a game and they work fine!
