Well this sucks. I was getting the 1038 error so I installed the IOS60patched.wad with wad manager from the wad directory and now I am getting a -2 error.
I probably need to go back and do the steps again. Do I need to undo everything I did in Step #3 of the softmod guide? And how do I do that.
    Thanks again for th help

    1) Install cIOS249 rev14.

    2) Install IOS60patched.wad with wad manager.

    3) Restart your Wii. are you doing this before the update

    4) Now run Waninkokos Firmware-Updater_4.1 and follow any prompts until it's finished.

Thanks WiiJohn I will try those steps when I get home. I am so sorry to keep asking all these questions. I am really not an idiot even if I sound like one right now.

    1) Install cIOS249 rev14.
You are referring to the follwoing step from the soft mod guide correct?

3d) Run cIOS38 r14 installer, select IOS36 as the one it should use and then select wad install.
I have to choose IOS38 NOT 249 (which is the default option) correct?

    2) Install IOS60patched.wad with wad manager.
The one in the wad directory on the SD card correct?

I tell you WiiJohn, you deserve 50 "thanks" when you get me up and running. Heck, you deserve them even if I can't get the darn thing to run. Thanks again.

Thanks, but lets get you running first.

    Choose 249.

I was at 3.2u With HBC working, Neogamma R8 b7 working, USB Loader GX working, MplayerAX working.... Also have Priiloader v0.1 (r15) installed and BootMii as IOS .

I installed Patched IOS60 wad and SystemMenu-NTSCU-v449.wad and now have 4.1u with a few problems. When I click on the SD card Menu from the Wii's main menu screen it starts to mount SD and then freezes.

I am able to hold down power button and load back to Priiloader menu...

I do not have an Internet connection or wifi for the Wii , I have been doing all this without a network connection so far.

Any Ideas of what I'm missing here?

Problem Solved I think.... I had a folder in the root of my SD card causing problems.... The Private Folder , I deleted the private folder and tried it again and it don't freeze when I click on the SD card anymore. "WHY IS THIS?"

    Choose 249.
So that means that in the softmod guide the instructions in step 3-d are incorrect. Someone needs to fix those.

The private directory is the bannerbomb. Directory aktn, this should be removed when done.
Also in the private directory which you should keep is the title directory, which is your game saves.

But you just told me to use 249 not IOS36. Here is what they say in the guide:

3d) Run cIOS38 r14 installer, select IOS36 as the one it should use and then select wad install.

You said you tried IOS36 and you got an error.
Its usually straight forward to install cIOS38rev14.
Sorry I can't think of anything else.
