i have a soft modded 3.2 wii
CIOSCORP 3.3 has enabled me to play most games from Disc channel, (exceptions are GH5 and Beatles Rock Band)
for GH5 i use soft loader R99 with appropriate settings and that enables me to load GH5 with all my instruments (including Mic)
if i load Rock band 2 Backup in Disc Channel, it works fine, all my instruments are seen
if i load Beatles in Disc Loader, it doesnt load the Game, rather, it jumps to a screen saying that an error has occured, i can still play it off my hard drive, but i can no longer use the Mic, which is wht i rally want to do, and without it working in the Disc Channel, i can forget about using my Mic....
any suggestions, i wanna get this fixed ASAP, preferably before Hey Jude is released as DLC

Sometimes it is easier to have the originals.
This installer craps out when I try to install it to my IOS249 on my 3.2u wii.
I get an error saying
es_addconte can't type that fast
install returned -1
Hello! I'm on 3.2 and did exactly as the tutorial showed and my drums don't work. Guitar works great, but drums don't.
I'm thinking if I have a broken drum set... I just bought it and I've plugged it in (its the RB1 set), but I've never even seen the blue light on the set light up as a sign that it's connected. When is the drum set supposed to turn on, at the same time with the wii or when you've loaded the game with the correct set up?

Quoting my own post here. Bought the official RB1 game today from sale, only 18 euros, but my drums still dont work. No doubt they've been broken for the whole time I've been trying to make them work.

Reason: didn't like what I wrote before.
Ok, so I have read posts until my eyes are burning. I'm running 4.2u, cios 222, 249 with 37 merged with 36. I use NeoGamma R7 to run DVD backups. I'm loading Rock Band Metal Track Pack and the game loads fine, but of course no instruments working. All the posts I've seen are for 4.1 and uLoader. Does anyone know the fix to use the instruments with 4.2 and running off of a DVD backup. Thanks for the help!

I run to this problem yesterday when I got old RB1 USB drums and tried to use them with RB backup disks. I got it sorted out with following "history":
I bought Wii last year with system 3.0E and installed earlier this year HBC and system 3.2E with Zelda hack. Did (in July I think?) softmodding according to guide at:
I however didn't update system to 4.x, nor installed the preloader but all the wads (at point 5 d). So far I've been using NeoGamma R7 to launch backup DVDs. All my DVDs are patched "N0" updates with WUM v1.2 and their region set to PAL (if needed) with W.i.U v1.1. Some of them have also needed IOS249 patching.
In current RB setup wifi is in operation, Wiiconnect 24 disabled. Guitar is GH3 (white Les Paul) and drums RB1 USB like mentioned.
This morning HBC offered to update itself to latest version which I allowed. Decided also to put in update 4.1E but it failed until I installed IOS60-patched. Next I tried to get drums working (with no success though) according to:
Then I found the following post from noneya1: http://www.wiihacks.com/general-home...tml#post140828
Downloaded and installed the files like instructed (didn't put in ios56 either even if some other posts suggest that)
So Wii 4.1E with softchip R99 detects instruments normally at least with my RB2, RB Song Pack 2 and RB AC/DC Live. I however can't say anything about mic and other guitar or newer RBs.
Please don't bother to ask from me any technical details like why this works. I really have no idea ;-))
