This is what I did and my Rock Band Equipment 1 (drum, guiltar and micro phone) all work now
Wii NTSC, 4.1U, softmod, all Rock Band games on the usb external hard drive
hard drive plug into the left usb and Rock Band plug into the second usb
This worked for me. I've only tried Beatles Rock band (Through USB Loader GX) though.

My setup is NTSC Wii 4.1u soft mod with USB loader GX. Before this my instruments didn't work. After this they did. Thanks!

    Cheers,

I was about to try this method for the first time - I've tried the other way twice. I decided to clear everything off my SD card and just leave the items needed to process this. What is happening now is that CIOS 222 installer freezes when I run it. It goes to the warning, then automatically goes to the cios installer, but does not let me move the D-pad or press A - completely frozen. HELP please!

None of this works for Rock Band 2 via NeoGamma (not even sure of any other disc loaders out there)
Are there any solutions for people trying to play a backup disc via the wii dvd drive?

That's 2 for you Baboo. Thanks again. RB2 still fills up the wii memory with DLC but at least its copying to the SD card now and all the instruments work. I'll have to live with deleting the Rock Band 2 DLC from the wii memory after playing each time.

Di you try installing heremes4 223 with ios37 merged with 38? Thats what I used to run with softchip and had no SD transfer issues.

yep. 223 37 merged with 38 enabled SD mode (which had not been enabled before) but it still fills the wii memory up if you d/l too many songs or have too many DLC songs on a setlist. I can hardly complain, since everything else is working.

What kind of sd card are you using? Also try setting block ios reload in softchip.
