and it worked for me for the following games

    Rockband 1--TESTED AND WORKED
    Rockband 2--TESTED AND WORKED
Rock Band Track Pack: Vol. 1--TESTED AND WORKED
Rock Band Track Pack: Vol. 2--TESTED AND WORKED
    Rock Band LEGO--TESTED AND WORKED
    Rockband: The Beatles--TESTED AND WORKED
    Guitar Hero 5--TESTED AND WORKED
    Band Hero--TESTED AND WORKED
AC/DC Live: Rock Band Track Pack--TESTED AND WORK

Guitar Hero Aerosmith--TESTED AND DID NOT WORK
Guitar Hero World Tour--TESTED AND DID NOT WORK
Guitar Hero Smash Hits--TESTED AND DID NOT WORK
Guitar Hero Metallica--TESTED AND DID NOT WORK
Guitar Hero Van Halen--TESTED AND DID NOT WORK
Guitar Hero 3--TESTED AND DID NOT WORK

HOPE IT HELPED YOU =] oh and im using ROCK BAND DRUMS/GUITAR/MIC
I've done everything above, but still my Rockband 1 and Track pack does not work.
Any other ideas? My band hero and GH's all work as well as Rockband 2, why don't RB1 and Track pack? Maybe something with game settings? I've tried launching with IOS 222, 223 and 249 - All start up, but instruments still don't work. Says microphone not connected.
Any help would be GREATLY appreciated! THANKS!!

If you have problem with your Rock Band 1 Equipments, try this way, it took me 3 days to firgure it out from different advise

Start HomeBrew Channel and start the cIOS 222 Installer
1 - Read the warning message and push A
    2 - Select IOS249 to perform the install with D-pad left/right and push A
3 - Select to Install Custom IOS 222 and select Use IOS38 merged with IOS37
4 - Wait for download and installation to complete
5 - Start HomeBrew Channel and start the cIOS 222 Installer again
6 - Select IOS249 "again" to perform the install with D-pad left/right and push A
7 - This time select Custom IOS 223 and select IOS38 merged with IOS60

    open USB loader GX
Click on any Rock Band / settings / game load:
    and change as follow:
    Video mode: disc default
    vidtv patch: Off
    game language: console default
    patch contry strings: Off
    Ocarina: Off
    boot/standard: cIOS 222
    Quick boot: Yes
    fix 002 error: Anti
    Click save and save

This is what I did and my Rock Band Equipment 1 (drum, guiltar and micro phone) all work now
Wii NTSC, 4.1U, softmod, all Rock Band games on the usb external hard drive
hard drive plug into the left usb and Rock Band plug into the second usb

has anyone worked out a way to get the DLC to delete itself from the wii when copying to SD (when playing from a backup/usb) yet? That's the only problem i still have and it's led to me corrupting my savegame on a number of occasions..

i could never get it to work on usb loader gx, however what you do need to do to have any chance of getting it to work from hdd is install Hermes cios 222 v4 onto your wii, and then run the game using ios 222 instead of 249.

    link & instructions:

    Hermes_cIOS222_223_installer_3.0_(rev4).zip

    1. Remove all GameCube memory cards and controllers. * This step is very important. Do not ignore it .
    2. UnRAR uloader_v4.1.rar and copy the apps/cios_installer/ directory to sd:/apps/
    3. this step removed
    4. Start HomeBrew Channel and start the cIOS 222 Installer
    5. Read the warning message and push A
    6. Select IOS249 to perform the install with D-pad left/right and push A
    7. Select to Install Custom IOS 222 and select IOS37 merged with IOS38
    8. Wait for download and installation to complete
    9. Start HomeBrew Channel and start the cIOS 222 Installer again
    10. This time select Custom IOS 223 and select IOS60 merged with IOS38
    * IOS223 gives you an alternative option for merged IOS in this way. It is exactly the same as IOS222 otherwise.
