same thing happened to me but i got it to work with my rockband one set

found all the files by using Google. Then i put them in a package and uploaded them,, anyways here the link

and i made a guide using CYB3RFR34K guide but i edited and made it simpler (well for me it is =] and it worked)

FIRST YOU NEED TO COPY ALL THE CONTENT INSIDE THE "COPY TO ROOT OF SD" TO SD CARD THEN YOU FOLLOW THESE STEPS

1 - Start HomeBrew Channel and start the cIOS 222 Installer
2 - Read the warning message and push A
    3 - Select IOS249 to perform the install with D-pad left/right and push A
4 - Select to Install Custom IOS 222 and select Use IOS38 merged with IOS37
5 - Wait for download and installation to complete
6 - Start HomeBrew Channel and start the cIOS 222 Installer again
7 - Select IOS249 "again" to perform the install with D-pad left/right and push A
8 - This time select Custom IOS 223 and select IOS38 merged with IOS60
8 - Start the Homebrew Channel and run Wad manager 1.5
    9 - select USBLoaderCFG_Forwarder-UCXF.wad and install on ios 249
10 - Quit wad manager, quit homebrew channel.
11 - Now, in your wii system menu look for USB loader CFG channel, click on it and Start it!
12 - prees B so it can show the list of your games
    12 - find and Select GH5 game
    13 - press 1 on the control
14 - scroll down until u selected ISO: set it to use ios 222-mload
15 - click A to start game (there should be a green line acros the screan for a couple secounds, its good) and the game should load then ROCK ON!!! XD
16 - dont take out the sd card just leave it in your wii

    - Edited by BOOSKILLA but Thanks CYB3RFR34K for his guide that i used

and it worked for me for the following games

    Rockband 1--TESTED AND WORKED
    Rockband 2--TESTED AND WORKED
Rock Band Track Pack: Vol. 1--TESTED AND WORKED
Rock Band Track Pack: Vol. 2--TESTED AND WORKED

Red face is there a simpler way to get the instruments to register?

i had my soft modded wii so messed up and i just yesterday got it back to where it will again read my discs. amazed that i could actually fix it (with the help of the hack community of course. the only problem is it doesn't recognize the rockband instruments that are plugged in. i am so afraid of messing it up again. i have read tons and tons of posts but none that i feel confident in tackling. i am running my games thru gamma r7 and i have cios installer and wad manager in my system and have successfully updated to 4.2u and my copies (of games i already have) all work great. is there a more basic way using the things i have that i could do this? any simpleton instructions would be greatly appreciated.

    Howdy,

So I was able to complete steps up to Step 8 bubt could not find how to action step 9?

8 - Start the Homebrew Channel and run Wad manager 1.5
    9 - select USBLoaderCFG_Forwarder-UCXF.wad and install on ios 249

My USB LoaderCFG is accessable via Home brew cannel, and I was able to get the drum kit (rock band 1) to sync with my first game "Band Hero"

Can you clarify step 9 please? when wad manager opens/loads you get the creen that has the rainbow writing on it and it allows you to select ios 249 by pressing A - then new screen pops up and it asks to install to network drive , SD/HDD .... am i in the right area, or am i missing something.

    Thanks

again, a bit nervous, my guitar hero stuff works at the moment. and i wonder if its an either/or situation either have rock band or have guitar hero. is there a way to do the rockband updates without Cios?

Do you HAVE to leave the SD card in the Wii? I don't see what could be installed in the SD card.. WAD's usually install on the Wii memory.

Confirmed working for USB Loader GX!!

So - First of all - I followed instructions as per BOOSKILLA post #186
HOWEVER - if you have your USBloader GX already installed as a channel, I BELIEVE you only have to do 1-8

    Then, exit / rest wii.
Load up USBLoader GX and scroll to game (rock band 1/2 track list (bascially all that have been confirmed by BOOSKILLA (i havn't got RB Lego yet, but the rest I HAVE confirmed worked via USBloader GX - and via uLoader)

So once you have your game - lets say Rock Band 2 - click the game and the new window with the disc image appears.

    Click Settings!!
Scroll down to IOS (deafult will be 249)
Click it once to change it to 222
    click SAVE, then press back.

You should now be at the disc image screen again... Click on the disc and load game.

My wii Drum kit (rock band 1 version) works on all games as per BOOSKILLA post.

Previously I was using the uLoader app /

BTW - my system is on 4.2, and Im running the lastest verion of USBLoader GX

Hope this helps others that use USBLoad GX rather than the other methods
