when i am installking after its does downloading, it says error -1 wha do i do?i have 4.2 but i already removed everything and made it run cios and play backups
Can someone give me a simple answer to my questions.
1. Do the RB1 instruments work with RB2 ?
2. Do the RB1 instruments work with RB2 backup disc when being loaded up with Neogamma 7 ?
3. If so has anyone got a simple guide as to how they did it ?
Yes they do and now I have rockband 2 backup working with all my rb1 instruments.
I use softchip set to load ios 232 and loaded ios37 as ios37 rev 7 loaded as ios 232.
This also works well with the rockband channel, just make it load from ios 232 and not ios 36 as it does as standard.
I also loaded ios 56 for good measure, but not sure if it is defo needed.
it all makes sense really...

My GH3 Les Paul works with almost all RB backup disks loaded by SoftChip R99, only RB1 is not working with it (well, I 've not tested Track Pack / Song Pack 1). Can anyone tell if RB1 on the original disk detects GH3 guitar? If so, is SoftChip needed?
GH instruments are not compatible with RB1 games, only with RB2 games.

I have same problem with my Rock Band drum set, it doesn't recognized in my Wii (I'm using 4.1U softmod with Backup Gamma Launcher)
I've downloaded the CIOS Installer in page 1, but the problem is my Wii can't connect to internet right now, I have problem with my USB Wifi Adapter...
so is there someone would be so kind to upload the offline files needed to play drum set in Rock Band?
I'm very appreciate it...
I didn't manage either to get my RB1 drums working with Gamma Loader so I put in SoftChip according to this post:
The zip package contains also files for offline patching.

I've used the Cios installer to install ios37 with ios37 rev7 as ios 232, but whenever I try and set soft chip to load ios 232 it just hangs. I've tried installing it a number of times, but no luck
If you check few replies down from the mentioned instructions there is a post from k.nitsua:
1. Use Wad Manager, set it at IOS248, install IOS56 (the new one that plays GH5)
2. Use multicIOS, install IOS37/37 as IOS248
3. Use Softchip R100 (should be publicly released by now), set IOS248, enable Load Requested IOS
- Softchip R99 kept crashing on me when I tried to change the IOS
That last comment could fit also to your symptoms. Would R100 do the trick?
In any case my system (R99 on 4.1E) runs at least RB1 and RB2 as well as GH5.

Still no go with softchip r100. Still hangs when changing the IOS to use.
I also noticed that if I try to install the IOS56 on IOS248, WAD Manager hangs while mounting the sd card.
I've also tried installing IOS37/37 on 232 and 222. Same result. WAD Manager and softchip both freeze when changing to those IOSes
I solved my problem. I use Hermes cIOS installer to install custom IOS 222 (IOS38 merged with IOS37). I then used USB loader GX (set to IOS 222 and 002 protection enabled) to launch Rock Band 2 and voila, my rock band 2 drums are recognized. This also works for GH5.
If you just get a black screen when loading a backup using IOS 222 in USB Loader GX (as I did), then try this:
use USB loader gx to load a different backup using IOS 249. Once it loads, hit the home button to return to the system menu. Start USB loader again and once the list of backups comes up, pull your SD card and then launch Rock band 2. You'll get a black screen for 5-10 seconds and then Rock Band will load... and your instruments will work, too
hmm... my method doesn't seem to work 100% of the time. Sometimes it loads, sometimes it doesn't. Seems kind of random
