I quite like how they are making these remotes that can command everything and they have funky lcd screens and what not......

I can totally see fat couch potatos just walking from room to room with that in their back pocket turning everything on and off.

I dunno if how many of you are bandwagon Iphone whores, but if you have a smartphone (windows mobile 6.1) they have AWESOME software out that turns your cell phone into a mobile remote

can control EVERYTHING from tvs, multimedia systems, dvd,etc, to even your air conditioning and home surveillance systems

To top it off its on your phone with all your familiar touch screen buttons....you can pick from several diff button template designs or create your own....as well as use any pics as the wallpaper for your background, easily making your phone the best remote in the history of ever.

Considering you spent at least #300 (prob closer to $600 thou) on a smartphone, shelling out $50 for the software to do this is a no brainer....plus you never lose your remote anymore...you just call it !!!

I'm interested in any new technology or new invention. There is a device recently made in Japan that lets you understand what your dog is saying. Its still a prototype but they say it should be ready in a few years.

There is an app for iphone that does that (i think its called RedAlert) it costs $99.00 US, my dad has a jailbroken iPhone so we got it for free and tried it but when you live outside the USA apps like this are bearly of any use. What i'd really like to get my hand on a 2nd Generation iPod Touch but sometimes i wonder if it really is worth getting an ipod Touch.

Hey!

I am interested to construct something a bit unusual.
How about projecting a video on a person on the same spot?
IE: if the Wii device can track the person/area of projection designated.
I would use this concept to project on a DJ as he/she performs on stage.

Anyone can help me with this?
Need info as what hardware and software to use and where to get them. If I use your help to construct this device, then you'll have credit in all my videos where is was used
