Well seeing how there are so many hit and runs on the site as well as people who just create accounts so that they can view the links, I was wonding if the site can have a bot or something that deletes people with zero posts after a set amount of days. I think that this might make new members become more active and become a regular member that may be able to contribute some useful information in the future that might be of use to the community of the wiihacks people.

It might just increase the number of worthless posts, too. There are a certain number of posts that one can tell were inspired solely by the automatic message telling them to post something. You are presuming that a post is automatically a positive thing.

well no, i pressume that there will be people who shall post the X amount of posts that they need to stay on the site. Im just hoping that its not people running around telling our new members to upgrade to 4.2
I remember seeing someone ask for their account to be deleted after obtaing the required info from this site which the way I see it is just down right sad.

I remember being pissed off that I had to go into pirating forums to try and figure out how to make backups of my legally purchased movie DVDs. I did not make movie DVD backups my life's focus. I paid for my software and update regularly - I have no interest in maintaining contact with fellow DVD movie copiers and yet there are active sites for those who are interested in this field.
People have their interests piqued by different things. For some people, they just want to have their game console do what they want it to do-play backups of their legally purchased games either on a disk or HDD and then get on with life. I think they should have that right and not be faulted or judged for that.

I try not to be a hit and run, but I'm usually pretty busy. I try to be the guy who helps the noob in the chat box get pointed in the right direction.... Which doesn't count as posting, but I'm sure as hell being social and contributing.
hey guys.im a noob at wii modding and i hope i dont get stamped as a hit and run.i cant contibute to pointing people in the right direction when things dont go to plan because i dont know myself.i spend some time reading through the forum at what others are doing and learn that way until im confident enough to help someone out in need.agree with chatham.doesnt cost to be polite.
I don't mind those people who leeches at least they're helping themselves. What really bothers me are the ones who always likes to be spoon fed about everything and couldn't even think of using the search bar prior to making a new post.
Please, being a noob does not give you permission to be lazy.

I dont think you should delete 0 poster accounts unless you take off the restriction that you have to be a member to see all the material in the forums or search the forums. If you take off that restriction then a lot of people will be able to come and get the information they want/research w/o having to create an account and all will be happy.
