Custom Game Channels

I am in the process of creating some custom channel wads and thought I would share them. I will update and add more as I complete them. These were made using customizemii with the .dol extracted directly from my HDD (fat32). If they will not work on a wbfs formatted drive please let me know, and I will duplicate the channel with an ISO .dol.

I have tested these on my own Wii and determined them to be brick-free.:018:

SD Forwarders should work for any revision as it will search for the containing folder for the boot.dol,(SD:/apps/xxxx/boot.dol) no need to patch the forwarder when updating your loader.

Full game channels have been deleted in favor of forwarders. The download pack will contain 3 forwarders. One for CFG(fat partitions), one for CFG(wbfs partitions), and one for GX. I have tested the CFG(fat), and GX on fat also.
Game Forwarders are designed to boot using Cios 249, if you would like another Cios request it here. I will edit the forwarder as time allows.

NEVER INSTALL ANY WAD WITHOUT PROPER BRICK PROTECTION. BOOTMII AS BOOT2 IS PREFERRED, BUT PRIILOADER AS A MINIMUM, IS A MUST!

Ok, just by looking at the Full Game Channels, it looks like they are for the NTSC-U (North America) region games, and will these channels work with any usb loader or are they independent of a usb loader?

I have installed the MarioKart channel, even though you used the 222 version of the cfg loader, I use a WBFS partition and IOS249, and it does boot the game.

I had the same question so I tried one. They are direct to the game, meaning the .dol for Cfg USB loader is hardcoded into the wad. Works with my FAT32 drive, not sure if it will work with WBFS. I prefer the channels that use an existing forwarder so the game uses whatever revision of the loader you have on SD or USB..they take up less blocks as well( although you could change the dol in any of these channels with customizemii if you wanted). I deleted my IOS222 and get error ret -4100, then I get a code dump, when I test the MarioKart channel.

Yeah that would happen as the channels use IOS222. Did you just do that to test or something?

Yea, just for testing, just incase somebody installed this and didn't have IOS222 installed. May as well get all the bugs worked out.

Yeah all that would be good info to include in the first post (region, IOS used, version of Cfg they use).

Thanks guys, I have only 1 HDD and it is formatted to fat32, so I wasn't able to confirm if they would boot from a wbfs partition. I will make the neccessary adjustments, to eliminate all the guesswork. It would be pointless for anyone not having 222 installled although by now I imagine most do or should anyway.:)

Yes, it does boot from WBFS, but only if IOS222 is installed. Perhaps you can just make everyone install IOS222, if they don't already.

And, the MarioKart Channel uses 28 blocks of the Wii's internal memory.
