Hey there! Ever wanted to play the ancient games of Super Nintendo once again? Well now you can and, even better, from your Wii! Just follow the guide (It's pretty easy)....
The Homebrew Channel
An SD Card
Step 1: Download
-Download this Homebrew Application:Snes9x GX 4.1.5 (1).zip
-Save it to the a folder called apps in the root of your SD Card (If your new to homebrew, and don't have that folder, make it)
Step 2: Set-Up
-Create a folder called " snes9xgx " in the root of your SD Card.
-Inside it, create 2 sub-folders : Roms and Saves.
Step 3: Getting some Roms
-Find any site that offers free Roms, like CoolROM.com - ROMs and Emulators - SNES ROMs NES ROMs N64 ROMs MAME ROMs GBA ROMs NDS ROMs
-Place any SNES Roms into the Roms folder.
Step 4: Using it on your Wii
-Place your SD Card into the SD Card slot in the front of the Wii.
-Click on the Hombrew Channel
It should then automatically read any Roms saved inside the roms folder, it will bring up a list, click rom to play.
Step 5: Saving
Press the Home Button on your WiiMote
Select Save, then Save Snapshot
It should save an exact save of where you left off
To load it: Home, Load, Select saved SnapShot.
That's It! Hope it was Useful and worked!!

Nice easy guide... Just wondering if there is anyway to run it from usb hdd, cause sd card wont be big enough to put all the roms on it...
Hi all nice easy guide,
Probably a noob question, but is there anywayz you can run the emulator and roms from a usb hdd, or maybe load the emulator from the sd card and get it to read roms from a usb hdd..
was it not reasonable question?
Abrys , I think he kinda misunderstood how you phrased the question... The emulator (homebrew application) he links to is just to play snes games not ps1 or ds games.. There is another emulator for the wii to play ps1 I think its called wiisx.
Here is list of emulators for the wii. Each emulator has there own different rom for them. Like ps1 normally come as an ISO, nds normally comes as .nds files and so on..
I think the way GinsuVictim seen ur post was that you were asking if the snes emulator plays all other rom formats...
I wish my lawn was emo, so it would cut itself....
Don't be a noob like me and ask questions straight away, the search feature is your friend... Trust me I know from experience.
oh crap i feel really stupid i should've read what i wrote before posting haha...
as tnjfitzy said i meant to ask do you know if the other emulators will work on the wii aswell as the super nintendo.
Sorry for any confusion.
