Guitar Hero: World Tour

I just made a duplicate of Guitar Hero: World Tour for my PS2. The game loads fine until you select a song/place to start playing. It gets locked up and does not load any further. Anybody else have this problem? I used a Verbatim DVD+R DL.

Do you have a slim or FAT PS2? I always use Verbatim DVD-R. I haven't bought World Tour yet, does it need a Dual Layer Disk? If not, use a single layer dvd-r should work better. Also, burn at 4X.

I have a fat old school PS2. The difference in price between the +/- DVR DL is alot. I do not know if using a - would make a difference. I search and search and came to the conclusion that the + was OK. Maybe I was wrong. It came down to 3 "-" for $25.00 or 20 "+" for $25.00 Guitar Hero World Tour requires a DL disk.

I have the same problem.

I have a Slim Silver 75001a PS2.

There must be a certain spot for the layer break I am assuming. Once I pick a song to play, it gets stuck at the loading screen.

Used Verbatim DVD+R DL

It seems you need to patch the ISO image with Toxic DL Patcher before burning.

Use Verbatim DVD+R DL disks and burn at 2.4X with ImgBurn, Alcohol 120, etc.

Trying it now, I'll let you know how it goes.

How do you patch the ISO image with Toxic DL Patcher?

Did it work for you?

No it didn't. I still get locked up trying to load a song to play. I did find a site with more info, but I can't find the solution on my chips menu... here's what I found. Maybe this can help someone. [Only Registered Users Can See Links. Click Here To Register]

I have the Crystal Chip 2.0 Pro. I can't find where to change the auto patcher to DL. Since C.C. is no more, it's hard to find exactly what I need to get it to work.

If anyone else has a CC 2.0, have you gotton it to work and how?

To patch, just download the Toxic DL Patcher, open the patcher, find your game ISO file, and click "GO". It takes a split-second to patch. Then you burn your ISO as normal. I burned one with the patcher and one without. Neither works, but in that link, It says, "Crystal Chip 2.0 Firmware 34 (Toxic Patcher Needed)
NOTE: For Crystal Chip users-if you have the BM installed you must switch off the auto DL patcher in the menu

I can't find where to turn of the Auto Patcher which hopefully is my problem. I may reflash my chip with the firmware only and remove the Boot Manager. I'll try that and see if I can get a song to load. I'll reply tomorrow and let you know how it went.

I have the "Magic 3.1" chip in my old school PS2. Has anybody had sucess with this combination?

Also, I try downloading Toxic Patcher DL but it comes up as a PHP file. What is a PHP file and how do I open it?

Thanks!

UPDATE:

I got the Guitar Hero World Tour to work. I used Toxic DL Patcher, IMG Burn and a Verbatim 2.4X DVD+R DL. Everything works perfectly.

My system is an old school fat PS2 with a Magic 3.1 Chip.
