I have an older wii, but it has been updated to 4.3. Are there any solderless modchips that work with 4.3? Also, when I burn games, are just the regular ones that play in Dolphin Emu the right ones?? Thanks!

you will need to softmod and downgrade to 4.1 to be able to play out of region games. Its the drive type that effects the type of chip. See here: www.modchip-depot.com.
Your other option is to softmod your wii and purchase a USB Harddrive, you can then also use this to rip your original games directly to the usb.

My wii is an NTSC and my drive chip is D2C, so does that mean that if I got that specific chip that it would work, but i'd only be able to play NTSC games? (or in my language, games with the little american flag in dolphin LOL?)
yes, you would only be able to play NTSC games with ANY chip, unless you also softmod your wii, as softmodding it would put you back to system menu 4.1 which doesn't have the same restrictions.Quote:

check out the guide linked in the sig at the end of all my posts. That is the guide you would need to follow. Read it through a couple of times and see what you think. Its not hard, and there are always people here for advice.
