USB Loader GX Black Screen On Game Load

Heya! I recently softmodded my new 4.3U wii, following Mauifrog's guide to the letter. After numerous hours of searching, I'm still having difficulties loading .wbfs files from my external HDD (FAT32; tried NTFS to no avail as well). I'm using a 500GB Toshiba Canvio 3.0/2.0, and as far as I can tell, it should be compatible (searched the threads and saw another member was able to use it). Just that, once I get to the point of actually loading the games, the screen goes black; and if I wait long enough, I'll be directed back to the System Menu. I have tried using a small 4GB thumb stick, and it works... However, I pray that I am able to use my HDD as I'm not too enthused with the idea of investing in another USB stick/HDD. *sigh* In WiiMC my HDD is recognized as well, and I'm able to run all of my media (Also of note, I've been managing all of my files through Mac OSX)

Any and all help with this matter would be greatly appreciated!!!

Your syscheck looks good and the fact that usb stick works leads me to believe this is a hdd issue, 3.0 ones can be problematic.

Ah! I was afraid of that. Was hoping it was anything but the blasted HDD!

You did the right thing, by setting up the usb stick u have more or less ruled everything else out as it worked.

Hi, I actually have the same hdd as you. The good news is that you can effectively use your hdd for ripping/playing games. However, I have had to use Configurable USB Loader. Another thing is that I have the hdd unplugged until Configurable USB complains and show a retry and countdown number. I then plug in and the program recognizes this. It works consistently for me, but I have to unplug/plug each time I start the program.
