    As the xml has lot of information that doesn't matter now, here goes from line 1 to 13.
    Is the problem in line 7? do I need to remove this line?

    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8" standalone="yes"?>
    <app version="1">
    <name> USB Loader GX</name>
    <coder>USB Loader GX Team</coder>
    <version>2.2 r1100</version>
    <release_date>201106292047</release_date>
    <!-- // remove this line to enable arguments
    <arguments>
    <arg>--ios=249</arg>
    <arg>--usbport=0</arg>
    </arguments>
    --> // remove this line to enable arguments
    <no_ios_reload/>

    Ok, all is fine there. Thanks for being patient. I'm trying my best to track down the source of this issue.

    What link did you follow to get GX 2.2?

    EDIT: Yes you could try removing both lines. You should probably make a backup of it first. Mine looks the same way though and I have no issues, but as of this point anything is possible.

    No hurrries, of course. I do appreciate you help, as it is very uncommon, even back in the days for PS2 modding...

    From the site USB Loader GX

    Go to the loader settings in GX. Boot/Standard should say IOS 249.

    Also, more specifically which package did you download?

    Ok, went to general loader settings, it was 222. Changed to 249 and the problem returned.
    Select game, press A and goes back to HBC.

    I've fortot, no forwarder for loader gx is installed.

    thx

    Download THIS and extract the 249.dol to your usbloader_gx folder. Delete the existing boot.dol file, and then rename 249.dol to boot.dol

    did it, no changes.

    I'm starting to think this is not a loader gx issue but something else...

    One last thing before I have to leave for a few hours...promised the kids a trip to the pumpkin patch and they are getting anxious...lol.

    Delete the gxglobal.cfg file from the config folder. Download THIS. It is the d2x v7 beta installer. Install base 56 to slot 249, then try to run GX again. Please post back if it works or not.

    Reinstalled d2x, and it loads drivers in loader gx, looks like it did not installed correctly in the first time.
    Going to play the game to check for more issues.

    When you reinstalled it did you use the v7 beta or v6? Very important as this could help provide a solution for multiple others!!!!
